Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Editing style is so fun, & music is a VIBE. Loved the set work and running footage, really nice to see those low angles. I can’t believe TheTrainModeller held you hostage, I’m sure HiT will be very interested to hear about this…
I think it definitely has a good chance of being tamiya French blue. People don't realize how much of a difference the primer makes so if he has a dark gray underneath the blue, it could be appearing darker than what it would be on a normal gray. To me it definitely looks like a tamiya paint but I could just be silly. Great video and great model! Danny did a lovely job on it and I'm glad it went to good hands!
This is a great point I hadn’t thought about. Danny said he’s very fond of using Tamiya paint so I do still assume it is French Blue. But maybe something I’ll try when I approach doing Edward and Gordon. Using a darker primer! Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed this video! It’s such a good one to watch with the chill vibe! Props to both you and Danny for this absolutely stunning piece of work! 💙✨
you know, I loved Dannys work. I would constantly check out his account to see if he posted anything, so when he departed Thomas modeling I was very upset. But I am glad that most of his models ended up in good hands!!
I think you could buy a spare D&D wheels from Bachmann parts departement. But Edward's works too. Danny had done a great work, looking for more videos like this!
Wonderful model of Thomas. Are there any plans to give him smaller footsteps, paint his whistle supports gold, his coupling rod bolts blue and make Annie and Clarabel models?
No plans to change this model. If I ever make my own I might do these changes. As for Annie and Clarabel. I am just using the Bachmann ones for the time being!
A fun and informative watch, aside from being forced to look at the annoying orange. Do you know if anyone's made a file replicating the Tenmille brake pipe Thomas had in season 1? Also, any plans to cover some of Clarabel with plasticard to better match the show?
It's a custom DvD. It says 5 years of Busted Buffers. It was something one of our group members made as a Christmas gift for all of us a few years back! You've got a keen eye!
I have a model but it's not Thomas it's Tillie from The Little Engine That Could in 1991 she's light blue and was carved from wood but when drawing the dome and funnel for her face they had to be cut off and glued on the boiler. With them on that would ineffectual the cutting process meaning a number of mistakes would occur.
@@thomasthetankman111 Thank you nobody has ever done The Little Engine That Could in a model style. I don't think I can give them a motor nor ask you if you know how to make them not a block model.

Pretty sure it’s Tamiya french blue over a darker primer, as he had asked me what i’d used when he was building it
@@nwrmodeller55 Ah nice one then!
@@thomasthetankman111
It could also be that you used the darker one with a white primer instead and ended up with the color you have now.
god that ending song was the perfect choice, tapping my hand to the music the second it started. excellent model
Cheers.
It's so wonderful seeing this model again since last summer 😍
The editing style is so fun to watch too. Please make MORE. 👁👄👁
More to come my friend. Hopefully a little Green Goblin next!
I love how many people are posting their workbench videos! It is nothing but an insiration to the community.
It nice to see. So many people years ago never used to post these types of videos and now everyone can make one!

It does indeed. I like the Season 4 - 5 look of the engines best!

Thank you. Should be some more soon. Hopefully the Green Catapiller with red stripes is next!
2023 is the year of thomas models lol
It does seem that way!
I wanted a tv show accurate Thomas since I was a kid

I eventually wanna make a replica scale Thomas
Do it! You won't regret it!

Love the video!! But I've gotta ask - 5 years of Thomas and Friends?🤨

With the blue, did you try out different primer colours? Like black, grey or white? Just a thought.
First, the primer colour could be darker, second, the blie could have used both blues with one coat on top of the other
I mean you could still use bachman and just replace the face change the paint a bit to look show accurate
True but this is more accurate to the show. The bachmann model has many faults

Hi, how did you scale down the gauge 1 3d model to ho? I’m genuinely curious as a beginner who wants to get into ho modeling. Thank you!
Not bad, some inaccuracies here and there, but what can i expect, ur models aren’t supposed to be completely accurate, again, amazing job on this :)
Glad you enjoyed!
What size is the trim tape? Asking for a "friend"
