Interesting note, Itto's CA during burst can easily attack through the crab machine's shield, rendering it useless.
Raiden, Ganyu, Hu Tao... All of them can do that...
Can kill oceanic birds
Can hit samachurls on their towers
Can tread on level of water where other tall chars are swimming
Can parkour jump some places where others fall down swimming
Can stun ruin guard with ult charged atks

Itto's unique charge attack is like a built-in c1 Hu Tao. His kicking animation in his attacks IS JUST SO COOL

Imo crowning his elemental skill would also be a good choice, since personally I like ramming the cow into enemies doing lots of damage.

@@dvalee they are talking about mechanics, not powerlevel. In terms of game design itto definitely feels more polished than Eula. But its just my opinion , i like both characters.
@@Phoenix-il5hc I agree w/your statement as an eula main, itto feels fking amazing to play, being able to reposition and continue ur auto combo is absolutely bonkers, and as with every new claymore user, the auto attack animation also feels more fluid. Eula felt amazing compared to all the available claymore users at the time, sayus also feels great although u won't be autoing much on her, and now itto is here and he feels the best fundamentally, while meta-wise is a completely different subject, he's definitely the best feeling claymore user to play by far(best feeling in terms of how they're played mechanically rather than how good they feel in terms of dmg).
yeah, fastest claymore user, charge atk finally not a spinning one and instead a bigger percentage unlike the low percentage spinning., when itto doing charge atk, he sprints to the nearest enemy making sure your charged atk will hit, he also sprints to enemies begore landing his final CA,, which is very good, bcos claymore big swings usually miss from its slow semi circle swing
He's so much fun that I triple crowned him...I got really lucky and got his weapon and 1st constellation, and now he's become my absolute favorite character.

Ditto, first Klee then Raiden Shogun and now Itto, all super fun characters with satisfying abilities that were absolutely worth a triple crown. Itto has to be my favorite though, his burst and style is just so satisfying.
I mean.. I've always wanted to roll for Zhongli/Xiao since I lost them to 50/50, but getting Itto was more important to me just as I wanted to get Albedo when he first released. It's not about how much damage or relevant these guys are on the field for me. It's about how fun the character is, how they're different from the rest and how much I can enjoy them while running around town 😅. Always had a thing for geo characters and hopefully, I get Zhongli next and Yunjin after that. Definitely don't regret pulling for the One and Oni!!

C0 Itto has literally no burst downtime for me. I use C0 Zhong, C0 Gorou, Geo traveller (all with lv. 90 fav weapons). This team rotation just feels so smooth to play. It feels refreshing because I thought he would have the same energy regen problems like with a C0 Xiao, C0 Ayaka and C0 Eula.
Itto has a 7 sec downtime on his burst, although Effectively it's around 5 seconds. He doesn't have ER problems since his teams require usually 2 more geo characters, or at the very least 1 other geo character (and even so, it is recommended to have around 110-130 ER anyway).
From a user of both Itto and Xiao (with respective teams being -Itto, Gorou, Zhong, Kokomi and -Xiao, Bennett, Fischl, Sucrose) I can pretty much say that, at least from the prospective of a 110% ER Xiao, he doesn't need any battery other than Sucrose C1, so that's that...also he has a 3 sec downtime on his burst comparatively. I'd say he (Xiao) does less dmg at same investment as Itto but offers an easier time while fighting since, when used properly, he's got basically free dodges.
Its a mono element team with favonius weapon equipped, ofcourse you wont have an energy issue

@@adamm4791 couldn't agree more, most of the time the hype of a new char makes bias/unfair review. That's why i am holding my freemogems waiting a consensus from 3-4 my trusted content creator (IWTL is one of them) about itto in depth analysis with his possible issue and how to deal with that specific issue

ofc u wont have energy issue with all of them equip with fav weapons. c0 eula wont hv energy problem if u bring a cryo support like rosaria with fav lance and plus raiden if u hv her
When Arataki Itto has beef with someone, he _throws_ the beef at someone. While it's rumored that Itto is homeless, Ushi will always keep a roof over his head. ;-)

I've been dying daily in the husk domain too! Usually I keep 10 or 20 fragile resin saved for the future but I finally broke down and used them all and still only have 3 good husk pieces to show from it. Who knew getting def% main stat pieces would be so hard!

In regards to the question at the end I think doing both for dps showdowns is honestly a good idea, it might stretch out your video a bit but I think it will showcase a lower bound and an upper bound for units. Tbf with the f2p showdowns you could likely just refer to these videos made against world bosses.
probably two categories for DPS showdown: F2P-friendly weapons (craftables, shop weapons) and whale weapons (stonethresher, homa, etc) it'd be interesting to see how some characters might pull ahead with specific 5* options
Itto is a such a well designed character. Definitely f2p friendly and he is everything a geo main can ask for. TY Mihoyo for creating Itto

I just noticed something that almost every released 5 star characters has their own BiS 5 star artifact 4 piece set except Xiao
That's because Xiao stands out so much from rest of his element, most of characters just work with the artifact their element was given, and even then, the sets they got can be used on plenty of characters, meanwhile Xiao is the only plunge attack character, in the game and in fact only Anemo Normal attack character, so it's hard to justify making a set just for him

Hi ITWL, just a nitpick, but Geovishaps only have 50% Geo resistance actually (and 30% Phys res and 30% res to the element they self-infuse with).
So after the shred effect of Geo resonance, their Geo res drops to 30%.
Also, I noticed that in your Abyss 12 showcase, most of the time (such as in your first rotation in each chamber), you didn't bother to first build up 4 stacks for Whiteblind (WB) prior to using Itto's burst, so WB's DEF buff from the stacks you gain during the burst wasn't snapshotted for the DEF-to-ATK conversion. Since WB's stacks only last for 6 secs and Itto's burst has a downtime of 7 secs, all WB stacks would be reset each time on the next rotations. I'm wondering if it really is too slow or a DPS loss to gain all or even a few stacks for WB before bursting.
It would really be great if you can release a video explaining/analyzing Itto's optimal combos and rotation sequences (depending on your weapon and team comp), similar to what you did for Eula back then. It seems TC isn't quite settled on that front based on Tenten's recent video on Itto.
geovishaps have 70% geo resistance regardless if they're infused or not. hatchlings have 50%.
you must be playing jenshin's jeo characters against jeovishaps.

What you're probably thinking of are Lawachurls which do have 10% + 60% to their element (so 70% geo res for Stonehide Lawachurls).

I managed to get C1 Itto, and the extra stacks of Superlative that he gets from it is _so_ useful to just continuously go ham on enemies with charged attacks, obviously not at useful as C6 but I'll take what I can get
Absolutely. At first I was kinda bummed cuz people said it only gives like 2% dmg increase compared to c0 with the most optimal combo. But now I'm very glad I have it cuz it takes the Stacking nuance away and makes each rotation rlly smooth Plus it extends the first combo chain like crazy which can actually be utilized as Quick Burst of dmg. But I just love seeing him do low-key C6 lvls of charge atks for every burst

Small note, the abyss blessing provides a 30% CA buff when a geo construct is nearby.
I'm not trying to make him look worse or anything, in fact I pulled for him! I love playing him, and his damage is pretty amazing. Just reminding people bout the abyss buffs.

@@lets_see_777 well you are right but the strongest dps out there ganyu and hu tao is also buff by that buff . He also show the overworld itto and it deals a lot of damage still . Only xiao doesn't really benefits from that buff .

My little sister went from really wanting him to regretting pulling him. She was only saying that because she hasn’t leveled Itto up yet. I decided to show her this to see if this changes the way she thinks about him after watching.

@@senua7912 not as much as she was before. I helped her get the artifacts she needed to get, helped her collect the beetles (which was a real pain), and now she just has to level up his talents and his weapon.

It's kinda hard to decide which set to choose for next showdowns: f2p or whale. I don't think you can add bp low R weapons to f2p or whale categories, also if C1 or C2 of character is really good I can probably go for it or wait for rerun. Maybe 3rd "dolphin" option might be great imho.
Yeah 'dolphin' category might be a good option for all characters, np weapons , 1 constellation or evenone copy of BiS

And i only go for itto and his weapon, he's truly amazing and the sword is the best claymore
Fun Fact: Chongyun is a better support for Itto than Albedo is. Is you have a favonious greatsword on Chongyun, you basically insta proc the energy gain with his e q combo and if you get the energy gain from Gorou and his favonious bow, ontop of the actual energy generation, you basically have a perma Itto Q active, besides the fact that chong's E increases Itto's attack speed even further. (OkCode made a video about it haha)
Outside of that, sticking preferably to only f2p option-weapons and maaaaybe battle pass ones for low spenders but that's personal preference.

For weapons, can you do both? It would be awesome to see how the damage scales comparatively with their 5 star signature weapons (for the showdowns, I mean)
My c0 Itto with Serpent Spine r1 stat are 71% critrate, 200% cridamage and almost 3000 defense so imagine how god rolls on my husk set and how powerful it is (no refill resin)😉 I am thinking to pull on redhorn my state will be 68%crirate ,238%cridamage and almost 3100-3300 defense. My Itto will be monster for sure!!!

My Itto is C0 w/ a R3 Serpent Spine. Once I figured out the best rotation for him, and how to manage the SS buff w/ the Opulent Dreams 4pc conditions, it was all money from there. He’s beating world level bosses quicker than anyone on my roster right now. My poor Razor and Eula have been left in the dust.
Loved the video. I think in DPS showdowns you should have two separate sections, one with whale gear and one with a more F2P oriented one. It'll make the videos longer, but enjoyable for everyone. And it's always fun to see your favorite character obliterate the enemies in ways that you may never achieve by yourself
I personally really enjoy seeing the potential of both maxed out F2P Characters and Fully Whaled characters with their BiS weapon, so it'd be nice if the DPS showcase were to include both.
If it's too much work to include them both in a single video though, I'm leaning more towards seeing the characters use their BiS weapons, since I believe it's better to showcase the characters at their maximum potential when comparing them against one another. In the end, I'm sure that the F2P guides will continue to be released together with the DPS Showcases, so if I want to see how well the characters perform without their 5 star BiS weapons, I can always fall back to those to see them.
But yeah, since you've already got both a series of F2P guides and Max Potential Showcases, I think F2P characters with their BiS weapons (including 5 stars, probably at R1) is the best way to go, since there are also a lot of F2P/Low Spending players who have wished for both their favourite characters and their weapons. It could even be cool to see "high value" C1 or C2s included, e.g. Hu Tao C1 or Raiden C2, since they're still in the realm of being attainable for players who are fully devoted to saving for their favourite characters.
I'm super happy you're doing Xiao/Itto/Noelle showdown, that's EXACTLY the three characters I wanted to see compared. I kinda want to see how they measure up with the 5 star weapon options at R1 if possible, I'm quite curious to see how powerful Noelle is with the new artifact set and Redhorn. I'm going to be kinda disappointed if Noelle is anywhere close to Itto because I saved for a long time as a welkin gamer and ended up dumping a lot of primos for C1 Itto and a R1 Redhorn (two damn bows).
I'm still enjoying Itto and my mono Geo comp with Zhongli, Gorou, and Geo Lumine who is surprisingly powerful (I'm consistently getting better performance out of her in this comp than C1 FD Bennett). Maybe next time Albedo shows up I'll grab him.
I'm also having meh luck with Opulent dreams, but I did get a fantastic 38 CV on set % Geo goblet with 4.5% ER, and a pretty nice feather, but have had no luck on the circlet/flower/sands.

Don't get me wrong, this videos are amazing and it really shows the potential of a really f2p character! It works as a guide for everyone and even for whales. But for the ppl that have been saving up for the character and gets the character and the weapon, maybe is a good idea to have a 5* option maybe in another video for knowing the potential but with its signature weapon. I want to see that kind of content as well

Thanks, great content! I prefer to see C0 Itto, C0 Xiao and C6 Noelle, with R1 Redhorn and R1 Homa. I think this is fair as it shows the difference between characters for dedicated players that main them. If you main character you 90/90lvl it, crown 1-2 main skills and eventually, probably on rerun or immediately get R1 of signature weapon.

@@DR...951 probably itto. Set made for him, craftable weapon available, newer unit meaning more up to date and less likely to get powercrept soon, has some good support like gorou unlike xiao who has no real support made for him

Itto is very good , and this abyss rotation also helps him a lot ( also don't forget the extra dmg from the abyssal blessings buff ) , I hope itto can stay relevant in other abyss rotations too or else he will end up like xiao who is only good in 10 out 90 abysses ( alse xiao dedicated artifact and support when ? 😭)

Good in what sense? With proper team everyone can clear abyss...and that's what I did with Xiao as well, him being in my team for quick and consistent clears, while the other was a diluc team, so meta or whatnot, you can always clear the abyss at it's max, only thing you can change is how much faster you can clear them...

@@NocteNoir I'm also a xiao main but this abyss is not for him to shine , Xiao struggles against enemies will large Hp pulls (like those doggos) but he shines well with group of enemies which his entire kit is designed around !! Just sayin that abyss can be cleared with perfect team do not justify that the character is " good or bad " . The video is about Peak potential F2P itto and me as an F2p can clearly say that xiao cannot compete with current abyss rotations and itto is far better than him rn

this unit is so fine that i dont have to farm another husk set for him, i can just give him prefarmed godsent 2 petra 2 glad and he'll do 28k per charged slash and 55k boom boom bakudan in the end with gorou and crystallize shield
mine is 90 10/10/10 w 1335 atk, around 2200 def, 70cr/180cd using r2 90 SS
and being EX lucky winning 50/50 2 times getting c2

Thanks for these types of videos, as a smaller spender on Genshin it helps to see what the max f2p potential is for a character before spending primos on them. This video convinced me to passive wish for Itto and I got lucky 21 wishes into Pity on a single pull Christmas morning. My present from Mihoyo
Itto is my first 5 star DPS, not disappointed at all.
I already have albedo and zhongli. Have some good def% off pieces for albedo and rn am running through husk set domain. However sadly, even after almost 70 pulls I can't get a single copy of gorou. if not for the early itto, I would have been ripping my hair off my head. Well there is always next time so Will do somehow with albedo and zhongli and save gems until yae miko arrives.

@@CL-yu9ls you could run geo traveler for crit bonus or a healer/support. Honestly geo traveler+ albedo are pretty good for batteries since their burst energy req is low
I only have Zhongli but surprisingly the rotation is pretty smooth at least for me with only two geo characters since I also didn't get Gorou sadly.

The vs Noelle showcase will be the true "is he actually good" video. Need to know how much better Itto is for being a 5 banner star, losing healing and shielding utility. Please show R1 Redhorn on both. It would help people thinking about using their saved rolls on Itto or the weapon (with their already existing c6 Noelle).
I'd say that pulling for a new character will always worth more than a new weapon(also with how rigged the weapon banner pity system is), especially if the situation to consider is comparing a new and old characters with almost the same playstyle
But thats just my preference so yeah

After seeing Ittos damages with a F2P weapon, I really feel like they need to buff Yoimiya when Itto does as much damage, but than AOE. And his sealing being much higher than hers
The difference is Yoimiya doesn't need energy to get her big damage bc it's tied to a skill. Yeah, Hu Tao is the exception to that rule because she does what Yoimiya does but better, but it's why Yoimiya's scaling is so low
Yoimiya also has support capabilities, and her abilities can sometimes vaporize or melt
In advertisements alone, you can tell the difference between Yoimiya and Itto. Yoimiya was advertised as a "burst damage dealer" while Itto was "Geo claymore user that specializes in charge attack." Yoimiya could have been "pyro dps that specializes in rapid normal attacks" but alas! That was not the case.
Yun Jin will buff Yoimiya don't worry

I think it would be cool if you also included as an addition the character's 5 star weapon, like Homa for Hu Tao or Redhorn for Itto etc. Some people save enough primos to get guaranteed character and the weapon!
What F2P has saved enough to get a guaranteed weapon and 5 star weapon when it cost like 180 wishes to get a guaranteed 5 star and over 200 for the guaranteed 5 star weapon
@@simplyawful543 I saved to get guaranteed Albedo and Itto and my friend for Ganyu and Amos. I bought one Welkin tho but I am left with more than 2K primos now anyway so it wasn't needed, dunno about him.
And as I am lucky I won 50/50 on Albedo and got Itto pretty fast, so I decided to go for Redhorn and well I got 2 Skywards but then in my last 10 pull I could afford and well I got it!
And speaking about my friend, he initially waited for Ganyu rerun as sadly after over 100 he didn't get her and he wanted her so much he started saving, but then Hu Tao and Eula came out and he got a bit bored with his team so he decided to wish for them and he too got a bit lucky and got them pretty fast too, but he was very careful and calculated how much he can spend. @@simplyawful543 you average a rate up 5 star every 105 wishes and by 160 wishes it's nearly garunteed. Only getting one at 180 wishes has probably never happened to literally anyone and probably never will. And for the intended weapon its more likely than not to get it by like 150 wishes and by like 190 wishes it's extremely likely. If you save for like 4-6 months you can quite likely get both.
@@Grafii2198 it's actually 411 fates. Weapon banner hard pity is 77. And even more accurately the chance of getting to hard pity 5 times in a row is so vanishingly unlikely as to one of the least likely things to ever happen. In reality by like wish 370 the chance of not getting both Amos and Ganyu is basically 0% (like one in several hundred million).

You should use prototype amber ning, not only reduce his er requirement but also makes the last slot more flexible since you already have a healer
prototype amber energy regen passive only applies to the holder, not the whole team unfortunately. it's a good idea for healing though, at the expense of the atk buff.

For the DPS showcase would love to see four-star weapons and Battle Pass weapons for both F2P players and low spenders. Weapon banner is too pricey when I'd rather spend the primos to roll for new characters.
i think 5 star weapons are allowed or should be used but in a separate just like the ayaka weapon showcase since yes you can still get 5 star weapons even if your are f2p

I was very very very very tempted to pull for him but I'm 61 on guaranteed pity. I'm tempted to pull for Xiao since I have his weapon but I'll wait til the end of his banner to see if there are videos on Yae miko. Best of luck for those pulling for Itto!! His trial was fun to play!

1st cent: I personally love going back to your weapon ranking videos/charts for certain characters. Please continue to do these, because we don't always have the optimal weapon(s). Especially because Polearm Impact is nearly upon us (Shenhe & Yunjin).
2nd cent: How does Itto stack up against the best of the best DPS? (Hutao & Ganyu)
3rd cent (bonus request): Can't wait for a 2.4 Tier List update, after Shenhe/Yunjin are released, too!

Lisa for DEF reduction and with a favonius you can battery him really good
Diona/Qiqi for heals (Use Diona instead of Qiqi if you don't have zhongli or are saving him for another team)
Mona (If you have her)
Fishcl(For good particle generation and off field damage)
And last but no least, Bennet because bennet

I have no regret to give up redhorn for albedo. Mono geo boy team (Itto/Zhongli/Albedo/Gorou) with those golden numbers is so satisfying.

It is really crazy how f2p luck can differ from player to another, i played sonce mobth and i got c6 xq noelle beido sucrose xianling, in the other hand, the only copy of fischl i have is the one i got from scaramouche event last year
