  • The Anticipatory Music Transformer is a unique generative model for creating symbolic music, developed out of the Center for Research on Foundation Models within Stanford HAI. Unlike other music generation models, this tool allows users to have fine-grained control over the creative process. A composer can write part of a composition and then ask the model to fill in the rest, provide suggestions for accompaniments, or offer alternative variations. In this video, Stanford postdoctoral scholar John Thickstun explains how it works.
