No. His second album was through the phone from county jail. His next few albums were recorded to a click track on an adat recorder. After that he probably used a cell phone or some other recording device. There is an audible difference in the vocal sound quality between his second album and the consecutive ones.

I’m from the U.K. and had heard about X and some of his music but didn’t know a lot about him.
He’s a knowledgeable dude who’s obviously got his head straight, especially after serving all those years. A lot of people would’ve been crazy by that time but he’s come out good and positive.

The gladiator analogy about the music industry was articulated very well. I grew up and still live in the Bay. I listened to X and Lynch, seen Mac Dre live a few times. I been in some trouble nothing too serious but watching fresh out helps me keep my head on straight. Hearing stories from the inside basically reminds me why I don’t want to go down certain paths. Man I like my freedom, you dig? I mean it’s inspirational to see the dudes who are doing well now and everything but watch this series keeps me cool off getting down with all the bs that could get me locked up.
Me and my homies were big on X raided all the way in KS I remember thinking nothing can stop this brotha he's in the joint making albums gotta respect the hustle.

This was a very good interview on the brother x raided. Ive been home 6 years now and i did 20 years in prison so i can relate and identify with everything that was discussed on this interview as well as past interviews. Thats why i subscribed to this channel because i love to hear the voices of convicts who've changed and grown to be conscious of self, politics and the social economic injustice that occurs in our society. We have to stay concious and relevant of the strategic implementation of cultural segregation based on economics "haves and have nots" and we got to rally together to see we have a common foe suppressing us and causing division when were all in this boat together going through the same struggle trying to survive. I would love to be on your channel being interviewed cause i have a lot to talk about. I love your channel bro. God bless you and keep blessing the people with informative interviews and knowledge. I remember when I was in the joint serving a nine year bid, I used to bump x-raided all the time. 🔊you better take yo shank to the yard🔊 glad to see he’s free & still making music. At the same time I feel sad that I too fail to a life of gangs and violence but back in the 90’s in south central Los Angeles everyone was banging. I wish you tons of success & I’m glad that you have a positive message for the youth.
