    The people commenting negatively and taking away from his work have obviously never set foot in a gym before. Amateur boxing, at the novice or elite level, is not easy; punches fly from start to finish(only 1-2 min round) and to mitigate the damage and score a TKO as he has in the video, is only proof of the hours of work put in.

    It's interesting what a one year difference makes. These children are only 14. If you see Mike Tyson fighting at age 15, there is a huge difference between these children and Mike Tyson at 15 years old. You see young Mike Tyson walking away from the ring not wanting to box because of his fear of going into the boxing ring. Even though Mike Tyson fought with great skill, he still needed the emotional support of Cus in his youth.

      @@1gnebz Good to hear from you. Interesting to find out where people are from and establish connections - I also live on an island: Great Britain and am in Leeds England. Great that your life still centred on boxing - it is the best thing ever for a young man and I hope that you soon get chance to do more beautiful work in the ring and continue to prove what you are made of and show that you are a truly courageous strong hard young man who knows what his fists are for. You young boxers are all tough young heroes in my book.
      If you have time there is a young boy called Joey Freeman wanting some tips for his first upcoming fight - he's 14 is one of the newer comments at video link at end of this comment so he might appreciate some advice from you. Let's hope that he can also prove his courage and show that he's a tough young hero too.

      How many fights have you had yet? Be proud that you are a young boxer as there is absolutely nothing better that a hard young boy can be doing. Let everyone know that you box and that you're a hard lad who can handle himself well and prove himself in a fight. Choose as friends those who respect your skill determination and bravery. You have to be brave to box. Relish the thrill of delivering a powerful headshot to your opponent and have the courage repeatedly to punch him as hard as you can in the head. A headshot launched and taken like a man is a beautiful piece of work. All the best with your boxing 🥊 as you prove yourself to be the hardest and most courageous of boys and just maybe make a professional career of it earning respect glory and honour.

      You clearly don’t understand how weight class or how fighting actually works… makes sense because your a kid 💀. You gotta realize that mass does move mass when it comes to fighting, which is the reason for weight classes. In fighting, your speed matters more since your mass can’t move the mass of someone who isn’t in your weight class. Also, going to the gym for fighting is irrelevant when it comes to ring fights like this. Calisthenics is all you need if you’re trying to maintain weight and fight.

      According to amateur boxing rules, you can only fight opponents with in 24 months of your age until you are 18, so you should be ok age-wise. But you are right that you will probably not have many qualified opponents being outside of the most common weight divisions of your age, but there is definitely some competition out there. With an extensive Karate back ground I think you will be fine. Good luck on your journey Sohaib Sherif.

      Dang. You’re a good size kid. I’m not sure about where you live, but where I’m from, it’s a little difficult to find a match for a 14 year old at that size. You will probably have better options once you hit juniors (15,16,&17 year olds). Other than that it’s all up to you, and the quality of your training regiment. Work hard and don’t quit! You got this!

      Oliver you already have good advice here but I want to offer encouragement to you with your boxing 🥊 as it is absolutely the best thing that a boy can do. Win or lose you will be so proud after your first fight when you have shown what you're made of and know that you can handle yourself with courage. You'll have learnt that you can take a punch but also learnt how to direct hard hitting punishing punches to teach your opponent respect. These punches can be a work of art. I wish you well with it.

I'm same weight as you and if I were the other guy, I would charge at you with jabs rights body shots and hooks.. I would be very aggressive and taking hits from you would be easy because I am used to get hit by bigger guys.

    • @1gnebz
      @1gnebz  2 года назад +2

      When you are 14, 5’ 6” and a 125lbs, you will have a very populated weight division. Because you are in such a common weight division a lot of the best of your age will be at your weight. I might not be able to say if you will be a good boxer by just your weight, age and height, but I can say this. When you are in the most common weight division of your age group, you can be a good boxer and still lose a lot. The good thing about being in the most common weight division is you will get a lot of great experience and if you don’t quit, you will guaranteed to become a good boxer. So I guess the short answer is, “Yes you will. Just don’t quit!”

      @@noahromano3905 Great advice young man. How's the boxing 🥊 going. It really is the best sport and it should help you become a tough strong confident brave hard young boy which is what all teen boys really aspire to be. Boxing will test you but you will prove what your made of as you handle yourself with courage and swell with pride when you realise that you can take a punch like the man you want to be.
      If you like reading then Bryce Courtney's The Power of One is a fascinating story about a boy in South Africa who surmounts his struggles through boxing.
      Hope that this is of help in addition to the practical advice from the expert. Best wishes apprentice boxer and future hard boy.

      James Bovington headgear doesn’t protect you from punishing shots. It protects from cuts and perforated eardrums. Other than that it feels the same.
