- Veterans Appreciation Day Parade 2023 was held on November 4, 2023, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY.
It is one of the Veterans Day Parades in New York City.
This Veterans Day parade was organized by Dr. Cleopatra Brown, who has dedicated her life to service and helping others.
Dr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy for six years and later worked for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, becoming its youngest supervisor.

The introduction was great.
In the celebration of Veterans Month, Brooklyn Community Board 3 (Bedford Stuyvesant), Community Board 8 (Crown Heights), and Community Board 16 (Brownsville) Veterans Affairs Committees will be hosting their 6th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day Parade and Resource Fair. This collaborative community event will occur on Saturday, November 2, 2024, beginning at 11:00 noon. The Parade will STEP OFF from Bright Light Baptist Church located at 1676 Park Place (Ralph and Howard Avenue), march down Ralph Avenue to Fulton Street, and then proceed down Fulton Street to Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza (Fulton Street and New York Avenue). The Ceremony & Resource Fair, which offers available resources to attending veterans, will immediately follow the Parade at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza.
