If there is a company that can mix channels in Neutron logic and be successful in this regard, it is probably Ayaic. This madman who encoded Monolith and Hyper can do anything when it comes to audio. 😂
Ayaic suggest in one of their videos applying Mix Monolith then COS then a second MM, the reason being that the first MM sets the gain to optimally feed COS (or any other plugins such as compressors etc.) at a gain level within their sweet spot. Then COS can optimise the EQ and the second MM can adjust the gain allowing for the EQ changes. Before you use group listen and mix on the second layer of MMs, click on the gain locks on the first layer instances of MM so that they do not change their gain levels.

Do you use automixing plugins?
i sometimes use curveeq by voxegno
funny enough i never tried it, even though it's included with cubase.

Yup, that way you get an almost fully automated setup.

I'm starting to understand. Working in Audacity now.
