We usually got 2 hay crops and if it was a late snow fall we would often chop cured grass right into the feed wagons and feed that along with corn silage to make the baled hay (round bales and small squares) last longer...we pretty much stuck with clover and timothy hay, once in a while we'd do alfalfa

Why don't you just make all bailage you own the wrapper. It's faster so maybe you could get more cuttings which means more tons per acre
