When you're running slightly late, ALL the lights are red and you have a slow and fully-loaded semi or dump truck in front of you with nothing but clear road in front of him in a single lane; etc. Literally the ONLY times I run late is because as I'm on my way out the door, suddenly I have to take a shit and I know it can't wait the 25 minute drive- thankfully this is like once or twice a year and I'm never more than 5 minutes late in these situations. (There was this ONE incident in the 6 years with my company where I was 3 hours late because I slept in- I literally felt like puking during my trip to work as my stomach absolutely sank).
