First day. Bent chassis, broken pull starter, blew the entire steering assembly to hell. Kyosho 2005 car from nitro magazine. Feel like a tit now hahaha. If anyone wants to advise me on how to upgrade or what to upgrade with when it comes to front/rear steering assembly, radio/servos etc that would fit this car I'm all ears. Belonged to a now deceased family member so would love to keep it alive long term to pass on to my son when he grows up
Very helpful. Thankyou. Just bought a nice aluminium pullstart case but it had alot of slack on string. Noticed string was crap so replacing with abrasive free fishing wire. See how I go.
I when I fixed my pull start, I tapped a m3 hole into the centre of the plastic housing, used a flanged 6mm long screw to stop the centre of the spring from ever popping out, worked a charm
Hey I have a Kyosho Fazer. My pull start don't work and I don't know why. The spring is in good condition and the rope gets pulled in but when i install it on my car it doesn't work. Do you have any idea?
Can you be a bit more specific? What happens when you install it on your car! Does the engine turn over? Does it just pull and return with no friction ? Does it not return ? Any more information would be useful.
@@_125.sumo.dk_8 sounds like iether the one way bearing has failed and is not spinning to release the pull start, or the pull start is pushing agains the bearing. If it tries to retract when you start to unscrew the pull start that would indicate it is being held too tight.
Hello. Sorry but this is a question I am often asked. These pull starts are no longer available and have been out of production for some years. Your best bet is to find a second hand engine with one on it, but even then it is likely the pull start will be broken. If you find a broken one you can repair it with one of my pull start repair kits. Hope that helps ?
@@RCScrapyard yes thx for the help, I have the pull start but it’s broken no handle and no string, just the case with the bearing inside of it. Kyosho should bring back the older model parts!
Hello. Unfortunately you will not find a new pull start for that car as they have been unavailable for many years but you can you my repair kit to repair yours using this video. You can find the repair kit on Rcscrapyard.com. Just type in pull stat repair kit in the search bar. If you are unable to repair it yourself you can send it to me and I will repair it for you. There is no extra cost but you pay for postage to me. Hope that helps.
There are three videos in this series. One for a genetic pull start. One for a Thunder Tiger pull start and one for an HPI pull start. All three types of pull start are covered.

@@RCScrapyard When I install the pull start it turns the engine but then it doesn't retract. But when I uninstall it it works just fine.

@@americawalk1154 if you can find a string strong enough. It has taken me years to find one suitable.
💯
I just popped a kyosho inferno neo 2.0 pull start
maybe do a better video, show how you took of the pull start etc. this video isnt begginer friendly at all
Or you could just search for that...
If you can’t even remove the 4 screws on the pull start this is not the hobby for you
So true
you show one not the other, usless vid
