This man is something special! Glory to God for his life!
He definitely exudes the energy of a person who has been regenerated. What I disagree with is that he says that he needed to repent of sin prior to becoming born again. The voice of God at new birth, is that we are already righteous apart from confession.

What does it mean to "die to self/take up your cross"? I've tried to be nice and do the right things. But it really is pointless to do it "through clenched teeth"
I've heard Dan say that.
Not live for yourself, letting love drive the motive for every single thing that you do in life. I would sayJesus picking up His cross symbolizes taking on our life & burden and us picking up our cross symbolizes us picking up His life and His burden - which is the love of God.
