Thank you, and you're welcome. I'm still no expert. I'm just sharing what I know and what I discover or learn. Still need to develop my skills and learn to teach actual songs. Lol

Greetings to you, and thank you for your videos! It's really great to see your engagement and the effort you put into this. To have well organized and useful ressources like this is and will be of a great help for beginners I think (and as you said, I haven't seen other channels like this one, even if there are still a bunch ressources one can dig up here and there)!
I'm surely going to follow your channel and watch everything, even though I do not have an instrument of my own for the moment. I am pondering gettint a two string jouhikko, but I am still unsure as I do not have any musical background. I'd gladly listen to your thoughts about a complete newbe embarking on this kind of adventure haha
Anyway keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment. As far as two string jouhikkos go I'm not entire sure on. You would have more depth, range, and drone harmonies with a 3 string version.

But, if it is easier with a 2 string version then I say go for it. If you have a maker or model in mind then good, however if you are looking for a good quality one, the maker of my tagelharpa (linked in my discruptions under my videos) makes some really good ones and can make custom orders. Keep in mind it is a bit higher than some in price and, although the country he is in is experiencing some hard times at the moment, he is still working solo to fulfill orders. His orders there do take time to complete anyway so keep thst in mind. It is never too late to learn a new skill so go for it. You don't need music theory to start out but it wouldn't hurt to look some videos up. I hope this helps and good luck on your journey. Some of the lessons I have can be also applied to the jouhikko. Best regards

@@Skaldic_Works Thanks for all your answers! Indeed, I have been recommended two string jouhikko as being a bit easier, and it is also more affordable, price wise :) Thank you for the recommendation! I already have a luthier I am in contact with for my potential order, but I did check out the work of the one who made yours and it looks impressive!
I'll take your advice on music theory and look it up soon. Best luck to you too, and hopefully your channel will become more known quickly!

@@vassilissa3040 Again that's not a problem if you find it less expensive and easier to learn than go for it. You can always upgrade after experience as well. Best of luck.
