Zeyu was alone since childhood. He had noone to ay with just cause he wasn't good at it. His parents are seldom at home and had to live alone. Everyone saw him as learning machine. After growing up his mom constantly insisted him to be a lawyer when be wanted to become a programmer. He also didnt get the girl. Why is his life so hard ?😭😭 Its somewhat relatable tho. I also was alone with not even a single friend. So, I was good at studies. Late on when someone befriended me i found put they're toxic. I was misunderstood by almost everyone. I can somewhat feel his feelings.

At list she could have told him that she doesn't love him in a good way but not writing her lovers name on the cake. Well, sorry zeyu 😭. He loved her so much . I think if were told to choose between zeyu and li he I would surely choose zeyu without hesitation. Cause I understand what he is going through.

hate to break it to u, i dont think zeyu was ever seen as a "love interest" from the start.. he was a rival to her, a friend. Li he had the most chance ever since he saved her from the fire + race and the turtle bet. But hes a good character, would have been nice if the plot made him fall in love with somone else when he saw he dont have a chance.
I was confused on why, per the storyline, Zeyu never tried to hang out with the FL outside of school. I know he was always studying but come on. They could have been closer friends in the two years he knew her. They are only school acquantices and rivals in school only, it seems. Even though Li is the better choice for her, Zuyu lost the headstart he could have had to know her better and be closer.
