Goffin just nailed someone who consistently plays quarterfinals in most masters tournaments. That was a super aggressive display. Taking Zverev head on and putting him under pressure. Reminds me of the old Goffin. Great stuff.
pure attack will always beat pure defense in a sport like tennis
Goffin back 😍😍 very nice that offensive tennis pays off
Watching Goffin Cilic and Nishikori playing great tennis makes me feel good. They deserve it 🙌🏻
And monfils. ❤
First time I’ve seen tennis tv highlight include drama with umpire 😂
Still haven't seen Alcaraz Racquet Smash On Tennis Tv
We didn't get to see Tiafoe's meltdown, either!!
@@foreverFreak en la final olímpica hubieron algunas, incluso a la clásica blasfemia española "me c@g* en dios".
The umpire was amazing
@philipcross8121 that qas disgusting. No one wants to see such thug like behaviour in professional sports. What a coward Tiafoe is
Once Zverev knew Fritz won, he got no motivation left.
I love this comment 😂
so good, this comment! hahahaharofl
He's goat of chokes
Meddy was making some insane shots there
How sweet is it that goffin has made the triumphant return.

Goffin! What a win!
I didn't expect Goffin to beat Zverev... but good playing!
Goffin has so well deserved a deep run in at least one masters event this year. This guy has such great technique.
What a amazing victory for David? The man who disappeared into the past is back in style. let's see how far he will go..
Medvedev vs Tsitsipas was a headline matchup 2 years ago. While it's still intriguing due to the upside, its not the matchup of top 3 threats to win a tournament like it used to be.
Other players evolved, they didn't! On the contrary, Stef has regressed. Daniil is still good, but stagnant! Without taking risks(bigger second serves, more S & V, more dropshots) in certain matches that helped him win in the past. Relies too much on his speed and counterpunching and it's not enough against Novak, Jannik and Carlos. Most of the times at least. No improvements in his volleying, net game, touch, power of his groundstrokes.
6:14 this shot angle by Tsitsipas is CRAZY!!
6:40 What a return with the one handed backhand 😮!
Zverev is possibly one of the greatest passive players of all time 💜
Zverev is a cold chest
@@Ronaldonazario-l7opecho frio en toda regla
It makes sense to play that kind of percentage game in tennis...and he's been quite successful but it's boring to watch and he must wonder how his career would've been if he'd been a little more adventurous.
It will never win him big matches, Impossible. @@shootingfromthehip3600
It is said he prefers to hit women.
Really happy for Goffin. Such a long way back from injury to a win like that!
That one winner by Meddy - jeez
Loved Carlitos and Gael on the net. Nice guys, and great watching them play.
Graet! Goffin😍😍
His play is so beautiful and excites us!
Man I Love Goffins playstyle. Always aggressive always on the baseline
Goffin was just sensationnal 🎉
Very nice to see Goffin back!
King Joffrey is back.
You mean Marty McFly?
Players with a similar gamestyle and weapons like Nakshima and Fritz give Rune tough times. 2nd time, he's lost to Fritz in straight sets.
It's strange because he should be extremely good on return, but it's subpar. His rally tolarance has also decreased a lot since clay 2023. I believe he comes to the net too often rather than relying on his baseline game, which he has the offensive/defensive prowess for.
He definitely needs a good coach (and actually sticks with them)
12:07 GOFFIN! What a sequence of brilliant responses! I’d be HAPPY and thrilled with my career after such a beauty!
It's been 1000 years Goffin San. We never forgot though
Happy for Goffin finally back to his best form!!!
lol i guess Zverev really didn't wanna see Fritz again😂
Alcaraz tenisin yeni kralı olağanüstü bambaşka bir seviye saf yetenek tebrikler carlitos 👏👏👏👏✊💪
De retour au top niveau David ! Well done Sir!
Goffin! So happy for him!
Great video again! But I dont get why you upload seperates videos of Djokovic, Alcaraz etc. matches and then include them in this one and left out Rune, Machac and others
bravo David!!!!
“Goffin records a 10th top 5 win of his career” - Really? That’s crazy, how was he top 10 himself when this is his top 5 record after so many years on tour? I mean Alcaraz is 9:1 against top 5 players in this season only. This stat alone really shows the difference between a normal top player vs. generational talent.
It's the era he had his prime in. 1-7 vs. Nole, 2-5 vs. Rafa, 1-10 vs. Roger, 0-8 vs. Andy. Lots of opportunities against the Big 3 +1, not a lot of success.
@@HeavyTopspin That’s true, it shows the dominance of those players and it was the toughest era to play.
Top half quality is 1000 level compared to the bottom half which looks like a 500 event😂
Then tell alcaraz to get to no. 2 ... Why is he still behind zverev😂😢
Nice to see Goffin still in business
So sad Dimitrov lost. It seems he ran out of gas at the end of the season, he began so good. I wanted him to be at the tour finals.
I feel like Monfils is playing to win more now rather than just being a showman when he was younger, because he is playing way better now.
This draw is low key giving Wimbledon 😂
Let's go Goffin!!
cold chest Zverev 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
We all love Monfils!!
My Novak ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Monfils a chill guy
goffin is backkkk :D

I think Stefanos added some spin in his shots. Especially in baseline exchanges. Apparently, it doesn't work the way it should
Alcaraz is the best🔥🔥🔥
Where's the Fritz-Rune match?
people saying that novak always gets the easy draws... well it's not his fault if the seeded players that should advance are choking against non-seeded players. blame the lack of consistency on the tour, not the consistent player.. so cringy
Sinner/Alcaraz leagues above the rest.
Again you people underestimating Djokovic! How many times must you be proven wrong? I see him highly motivated in this one. He wants no.100 and a motivated Novak is in my books not an underdog against anyone you put in front of him, regardless of his age. Also has the easier draw and if Carlos and Jannik play another 3h+ match in a possible semi, it's doubtful they'll have much in the tank for such a challenge. They've played way more tennis than him recently.
zip it up when your done buddy
@@jay_kulina No one underestimates Nole however it is also fair to say that it seems that the draws are tailor-made for him like a tailor makes a jacket. If he met difficult opponents already in the round of 16 for him there would be no hope
And that league is still below Djokovic
@@robertolovasco4477 yeah he should have gotten Monfils whom he has beaten 19 times in a row, correct? Oh wait if that were to happen, you would have then still said it is an easy draw for him, but it’s not the case when Alcaraz plays Monfils. And you want Novak to play Shelton whom he shut the phone down on when they met? And btw, he was drawn to play Tiafoe who beat Shelton just weeks ago in the US open, so it’s not his fault if Tiafoe lost to Safiulin. Gets an easy draw you say - being delusional, you’ll make that case in your head whichever way the draw unfolds.
How did Zverev fail to put away 3 smashes? 😂
I just like looking at Zverev fail n succeed @ the same time 🤭
Какая сетка на этом турнире? 512? Восемь дней играют, а конца даже не видно, пятый шлем походу 😅 Гоффен красава 😮
Zverev goat of chokes
Whats up with the title. You didnt mention who Djockovic and zverev were playing. Cmon dont be lazy
Minsk 😢🥰🤔🤔
Dimitrov mensik??!!?!
We want Mensik!
Jeez! So it wasn’t just a one-match fluke with Flavio, Novak has finally found a winning form! Now let’s hope it’s not a two-match fluke😂
Edit: Also, congrats to David Goffin, I wish him well on his comeback run😉
You're confusing Luca Nardi with Flavio Cobolli
@@malekat8539 Wait, now I’m confused, did he not play Cobolli in the Round of 32 here at Shanghai a day or two ago?
@@Tennisisreallyfun Oh, I thought you were referring to the Indian Wells match when Novak lost to Nardi. Yeah, he did play Flavio
@@malekat8539 Ah, okay, now I understand. Yeah, see, what I meant was that, when he beat Flavio, I saw a winning Novak that had a chance against Alcaraz and Sinner (unlike when he met Michelsen the first day as he was still pretty sluggish). I was hoping that this Novak was going to continue forward and that it wasn’t just a one-match thing where he played well that one day and then lost it the next. Seems like he’s still going strong🤷🏻♂️😊
lmao if zverev won, fritz had the opportunity to do the most funniest thing ever…
beat zverev again 😭!

@@mitchel3580 no , never , you probably should give it à try though
Novak straight to the final !! Draw is wide open now !
With the opponents he faces, it is the least for him to go to the finals
Nothing is easy for him this year
How does this guy Fergus Murphy still have a job. He is literally in 85% of all the controversial umpire player disputes. Its like he doesn't want to see tennis players happy.
He is in the wrong most of the times, and his face just appears uninterested. Kick him off top tier tournaments please, ATP.
Medvedev is a tough player to get behind as a fan. He's got all the potential to beat all the top guys and almost always makes it deep in tournaments. Yet he always seems to fall just short of the finish line.
Novak seems like he's got past the majority of his roadblocks to the final.
Right now it's the top 3 with the tourney on their racquets.
???
How is falling short of the finish line a negative? Its like saying its hard to support Ferrer or Tsonga or Nishikori and the like. Just because they're not the big three or new big two (of Alcaraz and Sinner) don't make them any less likeable. It's understandable if you say you don't like his attitude or something (e.g. if you think he has an attitude problem so he isn't realising his full potential, or he jsut gets mental breakdowns in the matches and lose all the points then I get it. I don't necessarily think that's the issue with him tho), but not being the top of the top? That's a meh reason tbh
Rune needs more patience when he's inferior....
In tough situations, he often takes the easy way out with choosing unnecessary speculative plays... like today's second serves caused double-faults.
Even if he was exhausted or his feet hurted because of many games in Tokyo and Shanghai, that's no excuse!
He is not a champion who has already won slams.
Unlike Sinner and Alcaraz, he must earn more ATP points in Masters 1000s or lower class events to get better seed than now.
If he wants to succeed more and win his first slam, he must not allow his own losses against present near-ranked players (11~20)!!!!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👏👏
Cuadro que beneficia a Djokovic, no tiene que enfrentarse a Sinner, ni al Alcaraz, siendo 4to clasificado, debería!
7:00 Did Shitsipas say "I am most consistent loser on the tour" when talking to the umpire 🤣
I would say Rune just had an offday
Problem is he has an off day almost every week
Stop saying this, Rune is just overrated
Players with a similar gamestyle and weapons like Nakshima and Fritz give Rune tough times. 2nd time, he's lost to Fritz in straight sets.
It's strange because he should be extremely good on return, but it's subpar. His rally tolarance has also decreased a lot since clay 2023. I believe he comes to the net too often rather than relying on his baseline game, which he has the offensive/defensive prowess for.

The last 5+ years he gets easy draws. It is really disturbing
@@vivahernando1 for him everything is easy draw. You losers
Yeah go and check carlos draw in the us open.... And tell me if it is tough..... Jannik plays fritz in finals?? And you say fritz in good shape....
If novak plays fritz you guys say fritz has a losing record against him he's an easy player😂😂😂pathetic fellows hating on a more successful person
Djokovic has beaten moreTop 3, Top 5 and Top 10 players all-time on the ATP Tour than anyone EVER. The only thing that made Djokovic's draws easier over his career was that he didn't have to play Djokovic 😂🤞
He's lucky that's why he hold most records 😂 keep hating
Alcaraz,Sinner or Medvedev will face each other again in the Semis and Djokovic once again got a easy draw, this is draw scheme that's being going ever since Wimbledon this year in Djokovic's favor that's shameful.
It's ok if he beats the fake tortellini
Sleeveless tops are hideous, sleeveless top on Zverev takes it to the next level…
If I happened to be on the other side of the net, I would constantly mumble "Your mouth is open". Not being the brightest light in her majesty's luster, this habit adds to his "not-so-bright-look".
He is just a small kid who doesn t know how to fight
Djokovic will destroy his pigeon Alcaraz again
😂😂 what a clown 🤡. Only a joker fan girl would say that.
