For those wondering, the speaker is actually not doing this. Is a camera illusion with low ISO. When you record with low ISO, the camera creates a vertical barrier that goes from one side of the screen to the other one. So, first, the barrier captures the radiator going up, then when the barrier continues, captures the radiator going down, making the illusion that radiator of the speaker is doing waves
Both wrong. Modern smartphone cameras don't have a traditional shutter, instead they have what's called a roller shutter that litteraly rolls infront of the sensor frok one side to the other. The rolling just means it's very low and close to the FPS of the camera (say 60fps or frames per second) which would mean the speakers down to 50-60hz (or cycles a second) which in sound is pretty damn low. The same effect happens when you use a camera to watch propellers on planes or helicopters - same effect.

You have to peel the fabric off to turn the crossovers off. You’re pretty much allowing the speaker to have no limits as far as what frequencies it can play (you’re signing it’s death note)

For anyone wondering why the speaker is actually wiggly in appearance it is because typical cameras record video progressively as in they scan from one side to the other (rolling shutter) for each frame and the speaker is vibrating fast enough to be out of sync of the scanning meaning the frames don't match up with the actual speakers movements

Fun fact: That metal part of the speaker looks wobbly at times because at certain points the frequency of the vibration of the bass match the frame rate of the camera, causing that wobbliness, instead of just erratic shacking.
The outer part of that passive radiator is plastic but inside there is a round metal plate that's molded into the rubber so it adds a little momentum when it's hitting the bass.
The moving part isn't the speaker, only a passive sub, since most jbl speakers are waterproof they took advantage of cheaper waterproofing and more efficient power usage.

The wave effect is from the camera sensor reading out line by line. It has nothing to do with the speaker.

@@_SashaSmile_ И большинства дорогих камер тоже. Среди телефонов так вообще все - от Сяоми до последнего Айфона. Такова особенность CMOS матрицы, которая сейчас ставится везде и заменила CCD. Считывание информации о свете происходит построчно, а не сразу со всех пикселей. При быстром перемещении объектов, будет искажаться таким образом картинка. На самых дорогих камерах научились программно-железно исправлять этот недостаток.
