I can’t even FATHOM the energy in the air at his concert! I would love to go, find a corner alone, close my eyes, & just FEEL it! 🌈🌞👍It’s VERY powerful simply watching it in RUclips! 💚
2021 - still listening- please forgive, respect, love unconditionally and seek unity. Please don’t buy into what the social media, news and all politicians are selling. It only leads to a bondage. Bondage of how we think, bondage to how we spend our time, bondage with how we spend our money. Break the chains and run away from their plantation.
when he played at the Lewin estate in Margret river 15 yrs ago , he was backing jack johnson, but completely blew the audience away forever, my first daughter was made that evening, you bloody beauty.
When I saw video of him live in concert for the 1st time>I 100% thought his “Spaceship of sound” didgeridoo was a kickass BONG of my dreams! 🤩🌲💨👍 Haha but it turned out to be something EVEN MORE awesome!🕊🌞🌈
Wow,i was two times in Australia, half of my family is there;i`m sitting in f...germany and realy miss and feel my home!!!I wanna get home! Thanks for this nice inspiration and memories!i bought me an Digeridoo now i really nerve my( german)neighbours..anytime,i will be in australia again,i hope...nice greets from boring germany....
I picked it up a couple months ago and I live in the country.. Nothing like jamming some didg on the front porch with no one but mother nature listening ^_^
" Message Stick" - Great Song!!!! Xavier Rudd ist der Beste! Und live noch zweimal mehr. Hab ihn auf der Summerjam 2017 in Köln live gesehen. Gänsehaut....
Xavier SHOWS are SO MUCH FUN!I ...just wish he visit the mid-west more often! He hasn't been here in SO LOOONG!.. :-( This specific jam is absolute insanity, IMO... LOVE it!
Awesome to see on post rock concert, which people dont even know the song, when they start screaming in the middle of the song when quiet solo is up.. :) Lets prefer Death metal, you dont mind noise around you :D
seeing him in baltimore in a couple weeks...the more videos i see of him and the more of his music i listen to, the more excited i get to see this live!!!
Thank you Earth Mother, You offers us so good thing, listen to, appreciate, learn, look for and find this happiness .................. Life is beautiful in St Barth
❤️💙 i hope you will cum to denmark and play again many times xavier . The feeling inthe musik is how i wish to be as a person , but i am not always , but it's just beautiful , thanks. Cum back to denmark 🙂🙏💙❤️
This nan us a great loving beatiful Soul ahi gives us people beatifull messages If wi just lisen with your Hart Tha k you Rudd Xavier for your beatifull music and messages♡ whi love you Licht whurker manni hugs from holland Oostwrpoort Gro ingen Thank You Namaste
An xavier rudd show is something to experience. i've seen him on on mushrooms, e, drunk as hell and compeltely sober about 4 times. He's just bloody brilliant, i fell in love with him completely sober. drugs aren't necessary, but they do *ahem* enhance "the feelings we have, that come from our soul and make us just wanna dance" -much love.
this guy is AMAZING.... i cant talk on the phone and fry an egg at the same time..... truly talented..... (if u like that sort of thing of course....which i do.)
The didgeridoo (also known as a didjeridu or didge) is a wind instrument of the Aborigines of northern Australia. The instrument is traditionally made from living Eucalyptus trees, which have had their interiors hollowed out by termites. Contrary to popular belief, logs are not stuck into termite mounds for the termites to do the hollowing. Crafters would find suitable trees by knocking on the bark to see if it was hollow.
What's with all this hating on how Americans enjoy their concerts? You guys sit back and "respect the performer". Me, I paid for my ticket so you're damn right I'm gonna get up and sing and dance! I'm sure the energy at an American concert is 100x better to play for than "respectful silence". Now get in the hole!
One man band and three didjes. Quite an accomplishment. I fell in love with that Australian earthy primordial sound but Indigenous Australian have always used the didje to tell a story more than perform a musical piece.
I'm not sure of the exact playlist at Glastonbury, I wasn't 100% sober either. He played Messages, Food in the Belly, Let Me Be, Stargaze and a couple I didn't know. His drummer is called Dave Tolley.
I fully agree with your statement on how others are judging people before they even know there person in which they're judging. It's people like that that are slowly destroying the fibers of humanity. Just enjoy the artists performance, especially since I know I myself could never reach the talent level Xavier Rudd has. I'd need many hours of teaching.. heh
Man i wish he didnt grow up down the street from me . He drove us all nuts. Only joken Just drove this nextdoor neighbours nuts we all fucken loved it. Go X you the man.
Actually, the banjo is originally an African instrument. The didgeridoo is a traditional Australian instrument that originates from Aboriginal culture. They do share a similarity--- they are both drone instruments. Ultimately, though, they are two very different instruments.
Hi all, I stumbled upon the Avalon stage at Glastonbury under the influence of copious amounts of Pear cider and caught Xavier's set there and it was phenomenal. I really want to know 2 things, 1; the set list he played there, and 2; the name of the drummer playing with him. I've spent hours googleing and I can't find anything....can anyone out there help me? Thanks in advance from a new Xavier fan!
@FindBailHold they're just showing love for the music, you can stand there and be silent all you want but if youve ever seen xavier live youd know how much energy he can generate
@MrTomMasterVideos no it was probably the camera cutting out a lot of the sound coming from the pa that's very common at concerts with home video cameras and the acoustics of where he is playing actually.i noticed once the drums started being more predominant the didgeridoo's sound faded he's got mics on everything.the didgeridoo.has kind of a natural percussive element to it plus he's playing the drums with more of a tribalish sound which drums&didgeridoos have been used together for years
He must have mastered the art of Circular Breathing... To be able to breathe in air while simultaneously blowing air out to produce a continuous sound. Out through the mouth w air stored in your cheeks and in thru the nose into your lungs... Insanely difficult but it can be done and is crazy difficult... I'm just past the novice level and that took time to accomplish. Try it !
SquillyMon Its not difficult man. Practice a lot and you'll get it in a few days. Practice circular breathing even when you're not playing the didgeridoo
They're all sharing the same brain. I remember hearing Johnny Carson say that nobody laughs anymore, they just hoot and holler and sometimes they actually say "hey, that's funny". But since you weren't able to finish a paragraph without resorting to "fucking" I can see where you're coming from.
saw him a couple nights ago in victoria bc. he's got a bassist and a drummer doing shows with him and they're just as much fun as he is. as for the laughing... during one of his jams he blew a note so low and loud that every part of every person in the crowd was tickling. you couldn't help but laugh. haha
@FindBailHold it's not as though this were recorded through the SB. just appreciate the fact that you are able to have a video of this performance and be done with it. There is no need to unnecessary hatred. Have you ever been to a concert where the crowd is completely silent?
I completely didn't want it to say that I was intolerent. It just sounded like crap that everyone was screaming while that man was doing something that , what, a thousand people in the whole world know how to do. Gee Whiz. Now, thanks to your re-comment after what, a year... they really were not that loud. I like it. Bark! Cool. =^.^=
this guy shows more talent in this video alone than pop music has in the last 20 years..
This comment is still very much relevant!
Oh yes
Unbelievable ❤❤❤❤❤❤
And the next 20 years🤌🏽
I can’t even FATHOM the energy in the air at his concert! I would love to go, find a corner alone, close my eyes, & just FEEL it! 🌈🌞👍It’s VERY powerful simply watching it in RUclips! 💚
I’ve seen him a handful of times and he remains the BEST live performer I’ve ever seen. Most people can’t sit still ❤ he’s amazing ❤

Amen! 👍🌞🌈💚

I love, and miss, this old Xavier surrounded by his spaceship of sound.
Jeah. In my opinion the new album sucked ... the first once were great though

Must see live to truly appreciate this guys talent.
This reminds me of why I don't go to concerts. People can't shut up and listen. :(

Let them hate...it shows that not only are they ignorant, but they don't know how to listen with their hearts.

I picked up a didge like 6 months ago...i don't think i've ever been hated to the degree that my apartment neighbors hate me
on his cd White moth that song is called Message stick in case anyone was wonderig.

I need this guy to do a tour in Germany.
AMAZING.....
Xaivier rudd rules the dish!

@FindBailHold Your totally right dude, Americans are the only ones in the entire world that show their appreciation by cheering during a song.
Xavier Rudd is owning the shit out of this cameras sound. Right on man :)
Xavier u bloody legend!
the didjeridoo is so hard to learn this is awesome
great music!!! amazing!!!
absolutely matey!
This song has a name, it's message stick, There's an album version out. So if ur looking for something to remix go find that track.

Just Amazing !!!!!
Great Artist
I do agree with you on the noise issue though but it's hard to be mad at people that genuinely happy.
@FindBailHold He's got a point, no other country makes any noise at concerts.
