I used to sell these back in the day... They were never popular with customers and when we first got them into store the feedback for why they were not selling was because of the lurid colour scheme, so they made a "whiter" version like yours.. I even have the original set of brochures with the old colours and the set with the "newer" colour scheme. There was also a problem that if you were lucky enough to sell one you then had the issue of delivery. I seem to remember you could only book a delivery to a ground floor and they would only install them on a concrete floor. Of course you could just take the one from the store but they were so heavy and bulky in the original box very few people could do that. When they changed the colours on the ones we had in the showroom a Dyson engineer came out to just swap out the plastic panels I got talking to him about the machine and he said basically Dyson spent millions on research tying to make a "better" washing machine only to find nothing beats a toploader so they just made a front loader perform like a toploader. He also said when your talking about putting a gearbox in a washing machine you have gone to far!! He expected them to disable the contrarotator at some point as they had been having problems very early on. However we sold lots of Miele washing machines having these Dysons in store to compare with..
I can't actually say I knew anyone back in the who had one. I do think its very over engineered and all those cogs and clutches and motors and contra drum, I'm not surprised they gave up on it, But I feel sorry for all the people who bought them and then got lumbered with them. If they had just stuck to a more basic machine, they would have been so much better and probably lasted longer, oh well, Dyson eh! lol
Hey handsome 🥰. I learnt so much from it, but it’s now been sold to a collector and repairer, had so much fun working in it, but next week we tackle the second one 🤗🤗🤗
Hi @Hooverluxrestorations and everyone. My grandmothers CRO2 Dyson made a strange sound and stopped working about 7 years ago so it was disconnected and put in storage, if I switch it on will the display reveal there's a fault or is there another way to determine there's a fault without it being connected to water pipes etc please. I would really appreciate any help whatsoever as my grandmother has very little money and it would be great to fix it for her. Superb video thankyou so much.
Hey Dorian sorry the machine jammed on you again after all your effort to get it going again but if you can unjam it n get the piece of the spider to fall to the bottom n then you can pull heat element out n maybe pull or flush out the piece of spider n it will be good again I don’t think anymore can fall off of it god you cleaned n blasted that drum n spider so good I can’t believe anything else come loose Lol ! Believe me I feel for you ! I’ve been there but don’t give up on it just yet might just be that one lousy piece that’s caught get out n will be good to go again for awhile might just be something you missed that was a little lose already that’s all I wish all the best my friend in the machine to work again n you will succeed! Enjoy 😉 Lou
Hey Lou 🤗. I’d learnt stacks from the first strip down, but I’ve now sold it on eBay to another collector and repairer. You’ll see the work we do on the second one next week 🤗
@@HooverLux I was thinking the one thing it had going for it was the amount of water it used. Nothing like the other machines that expect you to do a twenty pound load of laundry in one cup of water.
@@HooverLux That's the main problem with companies these days. They don't test products long enough to find any design flaws because they're in too much of a hurry to get a new product on the market.
It's a shame about the contrarotation and jam, I cant remember if I already commented but is there a chance of activating the contrarotation. Also my hotpoint does a 15 min quick wash without jamming, its beaten the dyson 😂😂😂
I think if the entire wash was just contra rotation and depending on the wash load, but this is only in small bursts, so I’ve never heard any issues to be honest, but that’s only from a few people I know who has one.

So that explains why the video was so short! Hope you get it sorted - I’ve got every confidence in you 👍

You can plug it in and just see if there is an error code. You can Google the droid code and model number

Now that's a water plus 🤣👍
Definitely 🤣🤣. I think the pressure pipe may have popped out the display or something?

Cool
Didn’t Samsung try to reinvent the controrator with their Qdrive washers?
They did, I have a video of one coming up.
@@HooverLux I look forward to it. When you upload it I’ll be happy to hear your thoughts on it. 👍😁
Are you sure 🤣
@@HooverLux maybe I am.
Hope you get it working soon mr lux 👍 think this was over engineered to wash clothes 🤣
Hey Davey wavey. It was really really over engineered and should have been put through more vigorous longer testing before being sold.
@@HooverLux That's the main problem with companies these days. They don't test products long enough to find any design flaws because they're in too much of a hurry to get a new product on the market.
You will need to dismantle the drum. It has to be inside there that’s the issue
Yeah, I think another bit got stuck, but I’ve sold it now to a proper repairer 🤣🤣

I’m surprised I got as far as I did to be honest. The contra was disabled at the control panel, so personally, no.
Doesnt contrarotaion cause tangling of cloths?🤔

Absolutely no tangling. I have a CR01 Memory and a CR02 Allergy both in fully working order, nothing ever tangled in either machine.
Canny wash level
🤣
