  • In this one, I'll be showing you how to build a diy emp jammer; electromagnetic pulses damage sensitive electronic devices by inducing sporadic highs and lows in a circuits voltage. Things I use to build this device:
    1 high voltage pulse module
    6 high voltage, ceramic capacitors
    low resistance copper wiring
    1 on/ off switch
    4 AA batteries
    thank you for watching :D
    Oh by the way (if you replicate), OBVIOUSLY, don't point this at anyone with a pacemaker

    What additional equipment would be needed to extend the range and focus of this experiment?

    • @JenkoRun
      @JenkoRun Год назад

      If you're still looking for an answer to this, place the emitter in a parabolic bowl with as reflective interior surface as possible and raise the voltage as high as you can. The parabolic shape will concentrate and focus the magnetism from the collapse, and the higher the voltage the more magnetism will be generated during each pulse, meaning stronger fields and thus longer range.
      It might be possible to extend it further by placing the emitter in a series of reflective parabolic bowls that create an "expand-collapse" like pattern, where it starts expanding and then shrinks it down to a point before expanding again in the next bowl.

  • @guiltyguildleader

    Hi absolutely love the vid, definitely worth the like and sub. I do have a few further questions to ask if thats okay.
    How does the following affect the resulting emp field generated from the coil?:
    -Increasing the number of loops in the coil?
    -Using higher voltage rated capacitors?
    -Increase the number of capacitors in parallel (or increase the capacitance of each)?
    -increase the distance of the spark gap?
    -increase the frequency of the AC signal?
    -increase the voltage of the AC signal?
    Any answers would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you!!

    Try this, parallel 5 (or more) pieces of co-ax cable (1/4 wavelength at centre frequency will be shorter than a free space wavelength). Use the same stuff as TV down-lead, but you can use more specialist high voltage versions if you like. Make all of the pieces the same length, with the connections symmetrically arranged. Attach an antenna to one end (1/4 wavelength antenna connected to co-ax centre) charge the capacitance of the co-ax cables with high voltage (from a dc multiplier) and then have the charging end short together through a small spark gap. This is a VHF spark gap transmitter, it works really well as an EMP device, and has several metres range for susceptible devices. For the DC charger I used a camera flash circuit with the main capacitor removed and passed through a voltage multiplier (diodes and capacitors). Around 7kV is suitable for most standard, cheap, co-ax cables, you can go higher if you use some of the more specialist cables (RG213?)... It is a low impedance resonator connected to a high impedance load (the antenna). You only get a few RF cycles out of it, but the peak power is really high.

    • @threeMetreJim
      @threeMetreJim 3 года назад

      @@kjellagotnes4547 No, but it was based on a spark gap resonator. The co-ax bundle was charged from a camera flash circuit feeding a small voltage multiplier using a high-ish value resistor to avoid loading the co-ax bundle during discharge. A piece of wire was connected to the end of the co-ax bundle as an antenna. The voltage was only around 5kV and it would affect unshielded devices (a childs toy) at around 4m distance.
