When my crew gives leaves back to the woods we call it, "giving back to nature" .. we, mainly I, also makes sure piles aren't really visible and it looks "natural" lol
I recently retired and told everyone I was going to buy a ride on leaf blower, got it last month and I love it. I have two elderly neighbors and I’ve always have done their yards also, now it’s a lot more fun. Used to push around a little wonder that was a pain in the butt with hills. I enjoy your videos.
Man that P2000 is an absolute beast! I can see why it allowed you to take on such a large site like this for leaf cleanup. Watching leaf cleanup is so satisfying. Honestly, being a part of leaf cleanup is also satisfying too!
Been watching you for awhile, decided I was gonna get a landscape pro trailer this year and couldn’t get any dealer near me to get one, so decided to call Sue Kelley and she had no problem ordering me a trailer in January and I had it in May. They even had delivered all the way to MA where I live. Funny thing was because I used Sheffield, they required a signature in person so I ended up flying from MA to MI just to sign the papers then spent the day in Detroit before flying home. It was a neat experience that I won’t ever forget. Sue and her team made it happen for me.
I bought the fb3000 this spring at last years cash price and im glad i did. We used it to move twigs and clean yards this spring and I had a pile about 5’ high today working the church and cemetery combo I have. That property took two days last year and we had to make some piles and pick leaves up. Today we picked up a small pile up front and blew everything to the woods in the back today. I am very happy with that blower. We made 4 visits to our top 4 customers last month compared to 2 last year. Oh yeah, 4 rain days, didnt work one Saturday and still broke the goal number!
Pricing is spot on. I watch your videos often although I never comment. I'm based in the Northeast which is such a different environment than y'alls. I can't believe you never pick up clippings for mowing, it's essentially a requirement in my area. Anyway, our goal is a minimum of $500/man per day for cleanups excluding the dumping fees. The point is, in my opinion you're pricing that job perfectly.
Totally agree with not taking any leaves off site! that is a huge profit killer because it takes time to load them up and then you still have to pay a dumping fee often times. I used to collect the leaves but it was nothing but a pain. A few years ago I had enough and stopped and now I still change the same price as if I would bag them but don't have a single leaf in the back of my truck at the end of the day. Profit has gone up big time.
Be cool to see that blower vs the scag windstorm side by side like you did with the backpack blowers a few years back. At least around here, every time I turn around it seems like someone else has a new windstorm.
Windstorm has way more power not only that but other features that make it easier to use but for a budget option this honestly makes sense doesn't cost a lot more than a large walk behind unit. I think if you had more jobs like this the added benefits and extra 5 grand for the scag would make more sense
Couldn't see the model but mine is a 2019 z3000 and it is so refreshing to see they put the battery up front now. Mine is behind the tire in a compartment and you have to take the tire off to get the battery out :(. Such a bad design lol.
Right around $2,000. My goal this winter will be to retrofit our Buffalo Turbine to the front of one of our Steiners. I miss having that for fall cleanups. It’s probably 3X more powerful than our X3’s.
That was a massive job guy’s. Job well done! 👍🏾 The property looked spectacular, with the equipment y’all used. It was also done in a timely manner.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Hey Brian. My name is Chanley Tolbert. I own a lawn care business here in Florida. I love the information you are providing here on your website. I was just wondering if I could get your opinion on my lawn care business and how I could take it full time and how and when should I think about hiring employees?
Thanks Rachel. We have a couple great videos on going full time, just search our library. We have a bunch of great podcasts on Fullerton Unfiltered when it comes to talking more in depth about hiring and building a team! Start there!
Damn, thank you. I do major leaf cleanups, all of it on my own property. Was considering offering my services to others. The driveways here are long & rural. Why not an hourly rate? So that the custy only pays for what they get?
Great job but didn't seem very efficient? Bet this would have gone faster with a leaf plow on a mower or quad. Build up the line with the Billy Goat, plow it out of the way with the leaf plow, then build again! ESPECIALLY, avoiding the bushes that were blown right into lol.
How do u guys do billing do u invoice and get paid later to you charge up front ? What merchant service do u guys use I use stripe but definitely sucks waiting 3 days for Payouts. After our clients pay we bill in the rear and it’s definitely not working any advice newer business here .
I noticed you got a headache rack on your new truck. Any special reason for it? Or know of any place to get a custom one made so I can put company name and possibly logo? Loved the video. Definitely wouldn't have done with anything less then the p2000
Besides your set man hour how much extra should we be charging for bigger equipment other than back packs and maybe a push blower? This is always where I get frustrated. Are there other variables I should be considering? Besides PIA factor.
I don't have a stand on blower. I would have put 4 guys in the bed of the truck with ECHO 9010Ts on. 2 guys on each side blowing as I drive down through there. Hit both sides at the same time and save some man hours.
Not bad money for just blowing the crap back and hiding it. You can come back next week and do it again when the wind shifts. You’re lucky and blessed to have guys to make your money for you. For a guy who’s outside all the time where’s your tan? 😂
I think you were kinda light on your price. Considering you didn't have to haul any leafs off which is wonderful in itself lol however you left some money on the table. I think you should've got atleast $300 more minimum. Just my humble opinion and what I charge. Keep on getting it man!
That job would’ve been 2500-3000 in mass. I also agree with others, a push blower and more backpacks, plus a leave plow would’ve been faster! I don’t think that stand on it that powerful?
The high dollar clean ups suck honesty. Very labor intensive, and you need all the right equipment. I like the 200-350 dollar homes that I can bang out quickly.
Where you at Brian? Im in NVA. No way we could get $75. Lucky to get $50-$55. Im commercial only, Bigger companies like Shenandoah , Professional grounds and of course Brightview, underbid everything making me keep prices low or risk loosing 3-8k monthly clients.
Loved the vid, but your stand-up Billy Goat blower doesn’t seem to put out even HALF of the CFM or velocity of a simple 13 hp blower. Since I’ve always wanted a Billy Goat, I was genuinely interested - and equally disappointed with - the BG’s performance. 🤷♂️. Thanks for posting. Love your work. (GR, Mich)
Uhhh, not sure how you derived that but this little blower packs a huge punch. If it didn't, I wouldn't have all of my local buddies renting it off of me for the day every day through fall when we're not using it on our big sites. It's a beast, demo one, you'll love it man.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Glad you like it. I’ve unfortunately developed somewhat of a mania and a fetish toward blowers (I’ve got 4 now), perhaps in part because our house is surrounded by about 10 full-grown maple trees which bury us in leaves every October. I’ve still got a little 5.5hp walk-behind blower, but I’ve replaced it with a SKAG 13hp which is a solid upgrade. Today, now that our freakish Michigan snowstorm has melted and given us a well-deserved 52 degree day, I broke out my NEW 1024cfm backpack blower. I’ve always wanted a Billy Goat, but I’m sure their 13hp (393cc) probably moves the air similar to my SKAG 13hp. I guess I just wanted to be awesomely impressed. However, Billy Goat does have an 18hp walk behind … 🤔. haha
What would you guys of charged for a site like this? 18 man hours and thankfully no hauling a single leaf off site!
Imagine if you had the Billy Goat Z3000 or the Ferris FB300 instead
$1500 range maybe a bit more.
1350-1500. Pita factor hahaha
2000 for my husband's job
At least 2k you have to pay for your equipment that just saved you x amount of man hours
When my crew gives leaves back to the woods we call it, "giving back to nature" .. we, mainly I, also makes sure piles aren't really visible and it looks "natural" lol
Yes love this I find it’s easiest to “hide” make it look natural is have one entry point for leaves . And don’t disturb the woods line as a whole .
Love it Jesse!

It's been so nice doing leaves with weather in the 60's. Usually it's in the low 40's for high by this point
What blower do you prefer for these clean ups ?
Echo work best with big jobs IMO

Keep that cold over there. I'll take these tornadoes Thursday and Friday lol
Wow a Billy goat way to come outta the 80s bro was running g one of those 30 years ago

A leaf plow would make a good leaf clearing duo.👍
I couldn’t agree more.
We use a hurricane daily. I love it

Yeah. Rick should have designed that part better
Anyone who does leaf removal should really look into making compost from them.
I've been out on my Ferris FB2000 stand on blower the last week. I'd be lost without it. Sure makes the job faster
good luck. amazing !
Good video…killing it

@@BriansLawnMaintenance thank you for the information
I would've loved to have a riding one like that back i the day....
Great video, how would you’ve price It if you were to take away the leaves ? Per truck load and how much ?
Damn, thank you. I do major leaf cleanups, all of it on my own property. Was considering offering my services to others. The driveways here are long & rural. Why not an hourly rate? So that the custy only pays for what they get?
Should have picked up the blower attachment for the Multiforce as well. Could have had 2 stand-ons running.
Hey man are you going to be picking up the new Redmax ebz 9000 backpack blower next week from weingartz
Great job but didn't seem very efficient? Bet this would have gone faster with a leaf plow on a mower or quad.

It would have been nice to see the U mount beside the ride on for a pro and con comparison. Might help someone on their next purchase
What do you do if a client doesn't pay you?
Have good contracts in place
Great video
Kid down the street from me would have taken care of that for a crisp $20.
Besides your set man hour how much extra should we be charging for bigger equipment other than back packs and maybe a push blower? This is always where I get frustrated. Are there other variables I should be considering? Besides PIA factor.
$175/hour and $75/per man hr after that

You said you guys haven't started clean ups yet, have you just still been doing your weekly mowing then? Or keeping busy with something else?
We’ve been doing cleanups for 2 weeks..?
@@BriansLawnMaintenance ahh okay, think I saw this video a week ago and then decided to comment a week later lol
Nice machine tho and two blowers too love it Brian
That job would’ve been 2500-3000 in mass.
I also agree with others, a push blower and more backpacks, plus a leave plow would’ve been faster!
I don’t think that stand on it that powerful?
Leaf plow would had cut 5 or more hours off this job. Thx for the vid
brian,
how many many hours did it take you to complete?
18 man hrs!
$1200 or so id like to get, depending if the hurricane is rented or not
Is a monster
We would be around 1800 so believe you still did fine
That's exactly what I would charge
You're fortunate that a business is willing to pay that much. Nice haul.
Tons of businesses do. Just have to find good clients!
They’re fortunate thats all he charged and said yes. Dont give this work away boys!
Instead of raking or blowing leaves, I mulch them up with my lawn mower....free lawn food !
they need to design a flame thrower like that.blow all your leaves into a chain link fence & burn them without ever getting off your bum.
Wish I could do a $1500 cleanup. I just got done with a $175 one lol
Keep working, m8!
Same lol, I did 2 today and I'm exhausted , we use backpack blowers
The high dollar clean ups suck honesty. Very labor intensive, and you need all the right equipment. I like the 200-350 dollar homes that I can bang out quickly.
Yup same here but this one seemed like a home run and it was!
Pretty cool Brian but you should’ve got a windstorm you cannot be a windstorm
I’ve heard pros and cons to the Windstorm and the Z3000, so it’s all relative!
where can i buy it is good price
Local BillyGoat dealer
Its brisk 77 here in the Atlanta area
Buffalo turbine for the win
I would charge $2,000 if it's a one-time thing, but if they're reoccurring customers then 1500$ sounds reasonable.
Excelente 👍🏆
3 man crew 18 man hours I charge 125 a man hour I would of been there with two cyclone rakes and one man on blower so would of been 2250 for that job
That hurricane doesn’t look it’s as strong as a windstorm or ferris
We’ll it’s 2/3rds the equivalent so yes it wouldn’t be the same in comparison.
We would have been roughly 1,350. We do 75 a man hour here in va
Where you at Brian? Im in NVA. No way we could get $75. Lucky to get $50-$55. Im commercial only, Bigger companies like Shenandoah , Professional grounds and of course Brightview, underbid everything making me keep prices low or risk loosing 3-8k monthly clients.
We have a 13hp push blower that’s what we would of tackled that with. 😅
I would have chopped the leaves up with a zero turn with mulching blades lol
Is that considered a fire hazard?
Why would it be?

1500$ the people around here think 25$ per hour is to much
To me using bags are just for the cookie cutter houses
1,920
ill just leave this here
Asi go there all the time work 1 minute away
Just over 20 hrs $1850.00
1350 + hual away fee
With a 50 persent profit lol
