The rocker switch does actually fit in the rocker switch panel just gotta do a little wiggling. I just finished installing a light bar for my buddy about an hour ago. Impressed with how you did the switch though it looks great
Also, I'm your friendly neighborhood Mechanical Engineer. Personally, for the light bar mounting bracket I would suggest just spraying out the hole with compressed air and spreading some antiseize onto the bolts. For the light bar itself, I would suggest a small touch of blue loctite on the the bolts holding the light bar on. You DONT want those to be coming loose. bad news bears.
For the switch for the light bar, do you know if the illumination turns off after a period of time after the engine has been turned off? I was just messing around with mine and the switch light stayed on while the car was off.
i have been looking everywhere for the mounts for a 50 inch curved for my Tj, I got it from a friend that wrecked his truck, the light works bu i have no brackets or hardware , how did those mounts hold up since you had to modify it to fit the curved bar? any help would be great.
so if i go with the brackets you got i should bend, i cant believe they dont sell brackets for a curved without buying a whole new bar, i will try it and let you know, thank you for the tip, got any more info?
Not really anything I can think of. Everything should be covered in the video. As for bending the bracket, you can try it how it is first, and then go from there.
Hey so I noticed there is one dislike but no comment saying what they didn't like. If you don't like the video, please tell me what you didn't like about it. Was the video not helpful. Please tell me.
lilRecon09 thank you! I did a dual battery install the next day. That video may go up very soon or it may need to wait until after I get back from Minnesota.
mikegolden Games nice. Good idea to have a dual battery. Hopefully the internet at work gets fixed soon. Terrible that it takes all day to watch a 15 minute video.
The switch you have would’ve fit into the stock space, all you had to do was push the diagonals on the sides down a little and it fits nice and snug, just installed some on my Jeep
Good video! I was considering putting my switch in the same place, now I will for sure! Wondering how you will hide them wires beside the windshield. I will have the same problem it seems.
Chuck Abernethy what you can do is open up the cowl under the windshield near the hood. The vents. You can run the wires through that. I just never got around to doing that
Nathan Zavala if you put them through the door, you will run the risk of water seeping through, then you need to cut through the firewall, worry about closing the door on the wire every time, run them down the windshield and look at them all the time. I think it would just be more work, less, for a lack of a better word, pretty.
mikegolden Games I didn't finish lol forgot to but u run them behind the light bar bracket then inside the door then u can wire it to the battery and have your cable inside that's the way I run it and no water has gotten in
I suppose I didn’t want the fan blades exposed to the entire engine compartment. Also I daily upload videos and stream, so I may not have all the time in the world to do every thing that “should” be done
@@mikegoldenGames It's OK dude just saying it's not that hard to pop off the cowl, more difficult to put it back on really. Fan blades exposed? Idk what you're talking about I was only talking about the wire.
@@billveder1071 Lol no big deal. What I meant by the fan blades, is with the cowl removed, the mechanical fan would be exposed. Not a huge issue, but I figured with the cowl in place, it may get a tad better cooling.

Thank you!
I was looking for an install bc my kit didn't come with instructions. Thanks dewd, helpful vid
Mitchumthegreat I’m glad I could help

Thank you for watching and commenting! You make something really good points!
@@mikegoldenGames Of course! Always try to use my experience to give a helping hand!
Why would you get a curved lightbar for a vehicle with literally the straightest windshield ever lol
Because it’s curved. Better light distribution.
That’s debatable...
So it doesn’t whistle
Because he obviously has no clue what he’s doinb
I swear some people lack to many brain cells these days, I’m siding with Johnny Haller
Also I have the same switch and it fits In there just fine

It’s will stay on, unless you wire it to the ignition. I didn’t do it that way
@@mikegoldenGames Had any issues with it draining the battery?
@@mw01720 none. It’s a tiny led. Doesn’t draw anything really
When running your switch is that they best way to do it? Cutting a hole in the rubber and feeding it thought?
I think so. You could cut a new hole and put in another rubber grommet, but why do that, if you already have one with room
BRAKE CLEAN ON THE PAINT ARE U KIDDING
man that looks awesome
AKHIL REGHUNATH thank you! I am glad you like it. It is so much brighter than the video actually shows.

Thanks for your help, been busy working on other stuff on my TJ , I will post a video when I’m done .
Sounds good and I'm glad I could help. Thank you again for watching.

What kind of frame did you buy for rhat? I need the same one
I believe it was a 50inch lightbar Mount. Maybe rough country. Decent for the price
When my man pushes in the switch from the song side
Lol yeah it happens
Looks pretty good.

Do you need to have a relay? Can’t you just plug it into the battery and switch?
I would suggest using the relay. If something shorts out, you don’t want the Jeep going up in flames. Lol
The switch you have would’ve fit into the stock space, all you had to do was push the diagonals on the sides down a little and it fits nice and snug, just installed some on my Jeep
Thank you for share this video;)
Mic Tuning I'm glad you enjoyed it
Can you use any body post to attach the relay to? Or does it have to be a certain spot?
Ian Montesinos I would say mostly any where on the body would be fine

Not to be mean but this is a dumb way to wire the light bar you should of put the wires on the back of the bracket and then inside the door
Nathan Zavala if you put them through the door, you will run the risk of water seeping through, then you need to cut through the firewall, worry about closing the door on the wire every time, run them down the windshield and look at them all the time. I can't get over the dirty Jeep but "If I have to redo the paint that's fine" Huh? ok I can't watch anymore....
Lol ok. Thank you for stopping by
NEVER SPRAY BRAKE CLEANER ON PAINT 🤦🏼♂️
You're actually going to run the wire over the cowl? That's what we call a hack. Come on it's not that much work to take the cowl off dude.

Cringing....Never use brake clean on paint. you'll one day regret it
