THAT'S THE EXACT SAME DAY I TOOK A SIMILAR FLIGHT ON A MAS 737 MAX ON THE SAME ROUTE!
In fact, I took pictures of MVD as it taxied across the terminal! I was at the Observation Deck at the time.
My flight was the one that took off an hour after yours (MH2610) on MVA.

When buying the standby ticket I was considering MH2610 too (don't need to wake up so early) but since one of my objectives for this trip is to get on a MAX, and past records show MH2610 would fill up more than MH2612, I chose MH2612.

@@DanielQihuaiNg Ah, I see. I booked MH2610 one month in advance. When I went to pick my seat, there are quite a lot of unoccupied seats in Economy. I managed to get a window seat in the front.
And you're right. MH2610 is almost full.
