    Thank you very much for the video. I had tried Atom3d many months ago and was impressed then but didn't purchase opting to learn Fusion 360. This year, recently, with the Workshop package of Atom3d and Meshcam I decided to purchase the package. I too am really impressed with the capabilities of this software and this video just drove the point home.
    I need to get more proficient with the basics, that you make look so easy, and videos like this help tremendously. Again thank you for taking the time to put this video together, I will add it to my tutorial library.
    Peter

    I bought Alibre due in part to your demos, and because it's not subscription-based, which will be important to me in retirement. I've used CAD sporadically but never really went "all in" with any particular brand, so I'm using your videos to learn Alibre. It may have taken *you* 40 minutes in this video, but with me stopping and starting the video, it's probably took 10 times as long, hah.
    It's sad and amusing that some people complained about the cylinder head not being realistic. I guess they expected to learn engine thermodynamics, gas dynamics, and CAD, all in one, hah.

      Kurt, just for your information, Alibre has a bunch of tutorials on RUclips. If you're like me, you will watch everything you can to learn as much as you can. I started out on FreeCad and bought Alibre because it is easier to me.

    Hello
    This is probably the wrong place to ask this so sorry in advance. I watch your Freecad videos (thanks by the way) and I noticed a lot of them are private now, is that on purpose or something with youtube?
    Thanks

      Yeah same here, i was also looking for the swingarm tutorial...that i watched a few days ago.... Can we at least have the blueprint for it ? Thanks in advance.

    I'd like to see more videos on Alibre Atom3D. BTW: Version 22 is out now!

    These Alibre Atom3D videos are great and show techniques used in many CAD programs. Frankly, your videos are more detailed informative than many of the company tutorials! .they should pay you or affiliate link you. my 30 day is expiring soon..
    I wonder if this model can fix the smoking heads on my Chevy S10 6cyl, LOL. God bless.

    Appreciating your videos!! when initiating the cylinder head and at the time you went from 4 cylinder to 6 You said "This will be a lot heavier than solid works! What did you mean by the term "heavier"?

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  2 года назад +1

      I made a video where I did a cylinder head in SolidWorks and it was a 4 cylinder instead of a six, so the extra patterning would not be an 'apples to apples' in rebuild time to the similar SolidWorks model

      @@JokoEngineeringhelp you mentioned how you turn off the constructions lines in an Alibre drawing. Could you rehearse that to me possibly?

    Alibre CAD works so much smoother than FreeCAD. It's really a pleasure to work with.

    Thanks for a great video!
    Guess you already know that you can use measure names in the measurement box, for example, if you made an angle and the next line should have the same value as the first one, instead of setting the same value, you can enter A1 as the value.

    Very impressive. You show that this Atom version is quite powerful and gives me hope that I can draw my original parts (designed in 2D) into 3D representations so the younger engineering crowd can make my parts! As to "some want me to go faster some slower" there's a playback speed for that!! you're doing fine :)

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  2 года назад +1

      Finally someone who understands what that playback speed functionality is for! Good luck with making your parts in 3D, I think Alibre is a great choice for that.

    This was very impressive! I am just getting into CAD and the speed at which you mapped this out is daunting to me. I will have to watch this several times and slow down the play back now and then to follow you mouse. In my first view of your video I learned that project to sketch is far more useful than I imagined, I need to make better use of constraints, I learned about the use of the view tab and that is just a few that stand out at the moment! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how it's done.

      Welcome to CAD and I hope you have a great time! There is a video I have to be published within this week that will cover all the Alibre basics

    I know this is a big ask but could you also demonstrate Alibre CAD with your other two standard test models: the car wheel and compressor? I know FreeCAD has significant issues with fillets, so I’d like to see how Alibre CAD performs by comparison.

      centerNegative alibre Works Petty will with fillets... like inventor and Fusion. They all use the acis Kernel...
