@DoesItDoom I know it's unrelated to the discussion at hand, but any chance we could get some death-doom in the vein of Paradise Lost or Novembers Doom?
Gotta say, Conan made it easy to learn their songs by being the only band I'm aware of that actually says what they are tuned to in their own music videos! Killer lesson as always Steve! Gotta do Satsumo next!
I started getting into Conan after looking up a bunch of bands that use an HM-2, or a clone of one, for that disgusting buzzsaw/chainsaw tone - Conan is one of the few doom bands that got that tone. Thank you for the sick tone and playing tutorials, Steve.
I used my dropped my C-standard guitar to drop Bb and then used the digitech whammy to shift the whole guitar down by a 4th. Dimed out my boss ds-1 and it sounded great on the metal channel of a solid state amp
I love everything that FuzzImp does // I've bought so many of these pedals but I keep going back for more because they are quite simply some of the highest quality builds to date. love to see it. hail

@@DoesItDoom I love it but I’m really looking forward to getting all of my music gear situated in the same area so I can actually use a fuzz pedal through my amp and get a good recording in a mix with it. I didn’t the metal in my last video mainly because I was looking to show a classic rock guitar town but most of the time I play metal.
Any chance you could do some riffs from Domkraft’s Seeds album? Or any Domkraft stuff in general? So many killer riffs that I’m having trouble figuring out.
As soon as I saw the doomsaw get released I was wondering if you were gonna play some newer conan. I met Jon at a small "festival" and he talked to me a little bit about the nihilist he used on existential void Guardian cause i mentioned i had some dunwich amps pedals. Proper gearhead Jon Davis and nice guy. Anyways great video! Hawk as weapon is the reason I listen to doom
Great finish on that G-400. Is it a refinish, or did they come in colors? I have white a ‘61 re-issue Les-Paul/SG custom. In needs a bridge pickup, but it plays & looks great. Even the old Epiphone Headstock looks good on the G-400’s … not so much on Les Pauls.

just was playing some conan on my 25.5 inch scale jackson with mammoth slinky ernie ball 12-62. not perfect but i was able to get down to drop F lol. drove my girl nuts so i know im getting that disgusting tone lol. used my peavey 6505 with my boss sd1 maxed with tone at 12 o clock, rat with distortion at 3 o clock and filter at 1 o clock, and gremlin triclops dimed with focus at 3 o clock and width at 12 o clock. made the house shake. 🎉
Steve, I’m really illiterate when it comes to rigging up stuff - I just basically stomp on boxes and chug. What happens if I don’t have the signal blender? Is it just gonna just sound like a noisy mess?
P.S. it kind of sounds like a boss HyperFuzz with some extra steps ....that transistor making a washy fuzzy sound when you pick really really hard... very hyper/superfuzz sounding
Im sure you thought of this already man but... How about a pedal that mixes a Doomsaw and a Fuzzcoven in one pedal with a blend knob like the Elder God? Like the Wargod, or maybe the Earthgod something for Crom, who lives in the Earth. Doom on!

can someone please explain how he’s not using a baritone for that? is it really possible to go that low on a regular scale guitar without compromising tuning stability and intonation?? Because seriously if it is my life is completely changed
Yes, very possible. Jon has only used 24.75” and 25.5” scale guitars in Conan as far as I can tell. Bongripper tunes to F-Std and likewise have only used those scales. That said, I have a baritone in Drop F and I think tuning stability and intonation are both slightly better, but I don’t find it to be a necessity.
