Ramsey, you are truly amazing at what you do! Your passion for fragrances is so contagious, and I always look forward to watching your videos. Big thanks, man.
I agree. I told my best friend about this channel and he wanted to learn about oud. I suggested we watch Ramsey, especially one video that I thought was just one hour long. We tuned into the video again last night and to my astonishment, Ramsey's oud video is 3 hours long! I watch the whole thing thinking it was just 1 hour long. That's how engrossed I was. Time flew.
That Jil Sander Man 3 is something else! Exactly as you described! My sprayer doesn't spray properly though. My bottle also only says Man. Carrington sounds great! Indeed, it is very fun hunting down some of these discontinued fragrances!
Happy Sunday Ramsey! thanks for all you do for us Vintage centric frag heads.. BPH on this Sunday, now its backed up Im wearing way more now and loving it..
Hahaha superb, witty as all hell and funny as fcuk. Great stuff man ,and yes they don’t make celebrities like they used to ,people nor product end of story. Love the choices and have a good few of the top recommendations , I gotta get a J.L.T.but sadly none across the pond here but never say never 😊. Cheers Rams have a wonderful day ✌️🙏👍
I do have fine celebrity favorites, but with this exception of SJP, I own no other celebrity fragrances, but still have my bottle of Stash and still think it is a great fragrance.
Hi Ramsey, thanks for all you do for us indeed! Your video is truly incredible, once again! The level of dedication/knowledge you're pouring into it is so evident. You are the Britannica of the fragrance community. I was completely absorbed throughout the entire video. Keep up the outstanding work, man, and I'm eagerly looking forward to what's next.
I have managed to get a hold of a bottle of Iquitos After Shave. The frag does last longer than expected and it does have a great smell, although I have no idea how it really compares to the edt version. As for your channel; Keep your RUclips channel as lowkey as possible. Keep it 'your' hobby not someone else's business. 😁
Ramsey, I do have the feminine version of Omar Sharif, and it is beautiful, however, it is not in a spray bottle, but it is in a small, but very pretty dab on bottle. I am sure a lot spilled out when I tried to dab it on, but I could and can still smell how beautiful it was and still is.
Also, the French actor you were talking about John, Louise, Trigignant, starred in “And God Created Woman” with Briggite Bardot. I once had that perfume but do not have it now. Also, I did once see and hear Luciano Pavarotti in person, and he was so great, he made me cry with tears of joy.
Ramsey, what an amazing and nostalgic video. You are so good at what you do and I am glad you are still doing it and hope you will be doing as long as you can.
Yoooo . Just bought a Trintignant Club Line No.2 -Eau De Parfum . It’s not the same as yours but it was £6 so I was like . Let’s go 😂 it’s still not shipped yet tho so I can’t share first impressions . 👍 but kinda buzzing to try it 🤓
Hello Ram, I was subscribed before under another account but it was hacked, my name is Corey. Haven't been able to watch in a while but I've had a medical complication with my heart so I haven't been out trucking which was when I usually would try to listen to you and watch when I could. I don't think I'll be able to drive anymore but anyways I just wanted to say I'm still here, and hope to get caught up on the content which is always cool. Just wanted to let you know that learning from you and your knowledge of this crazy passion of fragrances and its history is very much appreciated and has always helped me to get through some things. And I wanted to ask you have you ever had a fragrance "BESPOKED" or been somewhere that you could creat your own fragrance??? And if so can you show it or if not what would it's notes or inspiration be??? I think that would be one of the coolest things to ve able to do as a frag-head. Sorry for the long question, but thanks as always Brother.
So sorry to hear about your heart issue Corey. You know what they say, when one door closes another opens... stay strong man 💪🐏 I have never had a Bespoke frag made... maybe one day 🙂
I've never smelled Pavarotti but I've always gotten confused by Rich Mitch and other people's comments on it. Rich Mitch says it feels like a happy, sunny, warm weather perfume or something to that effect. Givenchy Gentlemen is often compared to it and I don't get that from Gentleman at all. I've got to smell it.
Yeah I agree with you ... Rich loves placing things in seasons and usually he is very good at but I would say it is probably a fall / winter fragrance if you made me pick a season for it...but I wear whatever whenever and in that heat that Russian Leather notes shines in Pavarotti 🙂
@@RamseytheRam I've also read that it could be the early work of Jean Claude Ellena. Can't find a spray of this but a few splash bottles at £50 english money. I think ill add this. The bottle colour and style remind me of Georgio Beverly Hills Vip Special Reserve...hope it smells like that as thats great
My favorite celebrities of all time that I have seen in person have been singers. I will try to list them below: Prince Luciano Pavarotti Barbra Streisand Bruce Springsteen Marvin Gay Sam Cook Expect for Pavarotti, and I may be wrong, but I do not think nor recall that those other listed singers ever had a fragrance made in their name. Prince Barbra Streisand Bruce Springsteen Dr. John
I must say that Dr. John was not only a good musician and singer, but also a good friend. However, I am sure that he never had a perfume named after him.
To be frank ELDO probably changed the name of that fragrance cause Tom Of Finland fans were disappointed by it. He wasn't a very soft suede kind of guy. I think people bought it expecting an over-the-top leather and sweat fragrance. Or just something raunchier. Especially people who are already familiar with Secretions Magnifique.
@@RamseytheRam It's not that bad if you don't read the notes. Once you read the notes you won't be able to get them out of your head while you're wearing it.
Toni Iommi is one as well. But i believe you only had a decant of that. Also, try Elizabeth Taylor Passion for women. Its better than Passion for men. Modern is good but vintage is a little better. Ill have to send a sample. Actually vintage passion for women is still pretty cheap online. Gets compared to Poison. Its kind of gothic.
Watch the old violent western The Great Silence. It's up there with Sergio Leone's dollar trilogy. The main character is Jean Louis Trintignant, and the villain is Klaus Kinski. Trust me on this, my man.
Great video...need to get my nose on Kinski. One of my fav celebrity cheapies is David Beckham Homme, a Pierre Negrin creation. Can be had for less than $15
I keep hunting ad by Alain Delon but I have only managed to find the non classic version, is this version where the honey is amped up and you don't smell any greens like the bergamot and the basil
May I also suggest....Dali by Salvador Dali. It's a beautiful floral-oriental, chypre. It's not a "dupe" they are different, but it reminds me of a sharper Chypre Palatin, by MCDI. It's also very reasonably priced, Yippee!!"
D-bag 🤣 Does Jeff Gordon endorsing Z-14 count? 😆 I actually gifted one of my in-laws Flight from Michael Jordan and he really likes it. A blast from the past. Probably the fragrance that he uses the most. Generic woody orange blossom but for the average dude, why not? Gave my brother a bottle of Rogue Man from Rihanna too. A clear D&G The One clone.
