    Mopar Life: First kudos for a meticulous garage and..beautiful car. Your tip is easy enough. For me, CAN'T tolerate the horribly sluggish throttle response in either "auto" or.."sport" mode. Had a 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody. Loved the car, except I had to keep it in track mode (trans/engine) ALWAYS or else it just..didn't respond (in the right gear to accelerate immediately). Sold the car to get a manual version. Love Scat Pack's and about to order a 6-speed manual version of your car (Barton shifter from day 1). We are AGREED the factory exhaust is wonderful when the valves are open (especially once I installed headers on mine) 👍.

    • @moparlifescatpack

    • @victorwilburn3498
      @victorwilburn3498 Год назад +1

      @@moparlifescatpack Glad the petal commander worked out for you. For me, automatics just DON'T do it. Scat Pack's are heavy cars (4300+ lbs) so to have the immediate response I prefer, manual transmission is a must have. Yes the ZF transmission will shift quicker than I can, but it doesn't provide the joy of driving that a stick does and paddle shifting ISN'T the same. Just how I am wired. Looking forward to Barton shifter and driving around in the gear of my choice. Enjoy your car sir👍.

      @jeffhershberger Год назад

      @@victorwilburn3498 I have a 22 Scat with 6pd and the throttle still has a sluggish response and it drives me nuts. I am used to immediate throttle response from my past cars and it just isn't there with this, especially when heal toeing or driving aggressively. Even just spirited driving around town is annoying when you let off the gas and the engine takes a second to respond and wind down. Oh and don't get me started on rev matching when downshifting.... sigh. I am going to look into a pedal commander for mine.

    • @victorwilburn3498
      @victorwilburn3498 Год назад

      @@jeffhershberger Jeff: Thanks for heads up on manual car. Automatic was "undrivable" except in track mode. Based on your feedback, I will add a petal commander to my list for "must have" stuff so the Scat Pack has all 500 HP on duty ALL the time. Marvelous cars, that just need a few "tweaks" to be fully unleashed in..near stock trim. OEM, Dodge did ALOT of tuning on the cars which is distinct based on drive mode. The differences in how the car responses with which level of traction/stability control for example, just makes me..laugh and envious of the engineer paid to..test how..sideways the car..can rotate on throttle at a given setting before nannies kick in OR..NOT. WHAT a job to be..PAID for..THAT👍.
