  • This video is an overview of my new 1974 TVR 2500M project car. I bought the car sight unseen from Michigan. This video shows the first arrival with a quick driving test and a walkaround. My intention is to keep the car drivable as much as possible as I tackle bite size projects to restore the vehicle. Pre 80's TVRs, or any TVRs are pretty rare on the west coast. I am hoping to take it to car shows and use it as a weekend fun car. Follow me as I make mistakes and advance to my ultimate goal. Thanks for watching DEMO Garage.

Awesome! I love it. What a great project. I think it would look great in its original colour. Shame about the sunroof! I’m looking forward to regular updates.

Thank you David. Very kind of you to leave a comment. I think it might be my first. 😊

Fantastic. It should be absolutely fun to drive. A mention: I finally see someone driving barefoot: these historic cars really need to "be felt" in the true sense of the word. So barefoot you get a perfect feel for the car.

LOL I didn’t realize my bare feet were visible. Most of my shoes are too big for the tightness of the pedals. Thanks for the comment.

Brilliant 👏 congratulations, beautiful motor. I've got a 3000M with similar issues! For the horns, highly recommended rewiring with a relay in the system then the horn push on the steering wheel can be to switch the negative/earth. Just done mine this last weekend.

Thank you Pete. The wiring of the horn is a bit on hold. I just placed an order with Advance Auto-Wire for an updated modern wiring upgraded harness (6 relays) based on a 1973-1976 TR6. I can't wait to start ripping out and replacing. As far as the wiring goes, I have managed to get the fuel gauge working (replaced sending unit) and will soon be converting the Tach from RVI to RVC using a Spiyda Conversion. I will probably do a video on that. Thanks for the compliment and comment. Good luck with the 3000M

@@DEMOGarage I really need to replace the entire harness for mine and most of the wires are suffering serious green cancer (copper corrosion) but a new harness is out of my price range at the moment. Are you on the 3000M &2500M Facebook group?

Great car, who did you use for vehicle transport? I can barely make it out on the rear window, is it RAMCARCO? Thanks, I'm having a TVR 2500M shipped to SoCal from Michigan as well and I need a transport company.

Thanks EPRSPLIT. I dealt with J&S Transportation who farmed it out to the company that did the work. The driver was nice, though didn't speak a lick of English. He brought it to me FAST, just a few days. I was surprised. I'll check my still photos and additional video clips but I'm not sure I have the info your looking for. I'll get back to you if I have it. Good luck with the 2500M!

@@EPRSPLIT Looks like BAMCARCO but as I said in my earlier reply I didn’t contract with them. Good Luck. I would like to hear about your car.
