McQueary was just flat out a bad QB. Only reason we won 9 games is because Enis was amazing and Paterno was the best coach ever who got the best out of his teams.
I was at this game. My 1st ever PSU game. Was on the 50 in student section thanks to my uncle. Dad asked if I wanted to beat the crowd in the 4th. I said no. We just need to block this fg. Then Im sure it was freshman Lavar Arrington that did. The original Lavar leap. Yes we immediately turned it over but you could tell that was a turning point. Then Enis took control
I don't have much of the 80s. Some from their '82 national championship year that I will post in the future at some point. But the 90's I have, just not '90 through '92. I basically post the Big Ten era years.
This game was huge for the loss of Harris. Paterno went to the Minnesota locker room after the game to tell them they should have won.
Mcqueary was clearly taking the points on this day

Now I feel like 1999 was payback for 1997.
lol I was thinking the exact same thing.

Re-uploaded this one with the audio issue fixed.
Yay!
Thanks for the upload. Do you have any other game stories from the 80s or 90s?
