    Love watching Lee draw. It is therapeutic like when I used to watch Bob Ross paint when I was a kid. Trying to study his sketching and inking style. It is so fast, and when you haven't any time to practice, it's nice to see his flow grow from sloppy to perfection in such a short time. Need to master this.

    How do you draw so fast. When I first saw one of your videos I thought it was speed up. But nope, that's just years of experience. You are the best artist I know. You da best.

    Love the background, makes it look like Themiscyra, fun to draw since it's only inhabited by women in armor.

  • @VZAAGE

    This video was heavily edited. For instance... the entire background was cut out. If you're looking for the full experience go and check to twitch.tv/jimlee and click Videos.

    I have a question for any artist that can answer it I will be really thankful.
    how would you go about drawing a slow motion scene in a comic book?
    to be more specific if there was a say a character who could slow down time how would you show that in terms of the motion and the panels?

    • @VZAAGE
      @VZAAGE  7 лет назад +2

      I'd do something similar to the scenes featuring Quicksilver in the X-Men films or Flash in the upcoming Justice League movie. Might even show a scene in real time and then revisit that same scene from the character's perspective.

    • @cometpty
      @cometpty 7 лет назад +4

      Maybe blur the background lines. Things that are moving slow you could add animation style motions where you animate the object and give the illusion of slow movement. Oh you could even have like a scene where the main character is for example stopping time on a bad guy that's going to shoot him. Time stops, main dude walks around the bad guy over 3 panels but make sure the bad guy is in the same position relative to the angle of the frame, blur the bg or even add an interesting color filter to show when time is stopped. That's all I can come up with.

    i love that this video's been posted and i'm sure it's appreciated by a lot of people. BUT next time you should consider uploading without cutting anything. learning isn't all about just seeing the guy draw, often times it's more about what he has to say, rather than him just laying down lines. it's about the knowledge that goes behind the art, rather than the act of it itself. you cut him off every time he was leading to something informative or interesting. but thanks for posting this i guess.

    • @VZAAGE
      @VZAAGE  7 лет назад +10

      I appreciate the input... most of the videos I've uploaded don't cut Jim off when he's giving lessons. This one just happened to be one of the longer ones that I made a personal choice to cut.

    • @Thund3rDrag0n12
      @Thund3rDrag0n12 6 лет назад

      It can change depending on the artist that draws her. Though she generally has because females in comics have moved away from how they were in the late 80s and 90s (AKA boobs and ass in revealing, skin-tight costumes), unless their sex appeal is inherently part of their character

    Is there any reason why your videos have AN EXTREMELY LOUD THUNDERCLAP EXPLOSION at the beginning? Good God couldn't you lower the volume? Your intro effect audio is 10 stories high, while the rest of the video audio level is on the first floor. I don't understand why people do this nonsense.
