My S2000 AP1 has a nigh rev and misfire. What your opinion on this being the cause of my problem? I change injectors, plugs, IACV, Coils and cleaned the throttle body.

Organize your tools! I’ll send you some additional rails and clips for holding the sockets, if you want…

Hey guys, good video I just have a little input. I like how yall ended up explaining to just make sure the lobes were pointed up rather than paying attention to the gears. Also, on my AP1 afemter doing the adjustment once I found that I had a tick so I actually had to go to the tighter end of the tolerance and tighten the screw onto the gauge to where I would have to pull the feelers out with pliers. I made sure they were still in tolerance and the feelers did not have gauges in them so I knew that they were in spec. It got rid of the tick and I've been running it over 12k miles like that now, so I assume it's done properly without burning a valve. I rev it to the moon plenty.

Nice, always a good feeling getting it done. Have you done AP2 retainers ?

If you have to pull them out with players as you said that means it’s too tight sorry pal. The noise you were hearing is most probably normal sound and as they say ‘if you can’t hear it at all..you will soon smell it as you just burnt the valve’ I suspect that your valves were too tight then you adjusted it correctly and heard the normal sound and misinterpreted as ‘too loud’ and finally you adjusted it back to too tight (perhaps tighter than original)

Do u guys go back and torque the bolts after tightening it with the special flat screw/wrench tool?

Just out of curiosity, I’ve been getting P1399 on my OBDII, could a valve adjustment stop misfires?

Thanks for the video. I recently decided to check the valves and adjust it for the first time. Some of them were really tight so I adjusted them where the gauge would be snug.
I was told that it should not be snug and should just have slight drag so I went and did it again and now the motor seems really noisy where as it used to be dead quiet.
Is it normal that I can actually hear my valves when it’s running now, where as my engine used to run really quiet when I had it snugged?

Typically you will have some valve train noise, but after we adjusted ours there was less and is sounded smoother

We've heard of some EPS issues in AP1's but personally never had any major issues on our cars. Here's a good link with a step by step procedure to try and reset the EPS system.
