I honestly have learned more in the past 6 months listening to this podcast than I have in the past 5 years as a personal trainer. It goes to show that experience doesn’t come with time but with a willingness to learn.

I am 74 years old and have been working out with weights for years but I never really was structured with my workouts until I came across your Maps programs. I have had numerous injuries with my back, shoulders and hands due to repetitive work at the Post Office. As a university student who is still in his 20's I am so blessed to have found the mindpump channel.
I'm living in the Philippines where fitness is one of the least priorities, because of many reasons primarily the culture.
Despite that, I have learned through mindpump valuable and important informations about healthy lifestyle. I've been telling my family and my friends about you guys because you've educated every one of your listeners not only about fitness but also educated us about life.
I can't thank you enough for the videos, the free guides and the free 30 day program you've given us. You've changed my life from 116kg to 102 and now aiming for the 90kg mark.
My promise is that, when I earn the money for MAPS ANABOLIC, I will buy it to show my support and appreciation for everything you guys have given me.

Tapping into the primal brain can be valuable during a workout, and the more you do so you learn how to control it better to channel that energy properly. Taken to the extreme it can be detrimental and lead to injury, so important to learn how to control this energy to use when appropriate.

I like the flip of the coin for this topic. It’s really fun to push the heavy weights and get really really strong in a lift and then to flip it around and start pursuing muscle after is a good feeling as well. I’m hoping to do that once I complete powerlift and go into a more muscle building phase.

To me, I see strengthening single lifts to extremes as silly unless you are in a competition.
I prefer overall strength in many movements. Not only will it protect your joints more, but it will make you overall a more balanced strong individual with more strength carryover to real life situations. Being more balanced muscularly and aesthetically is also a nice bonus of training like this 💪
