    What fluid should be used for my 2006?
    The 2006 repair manual says equivalent of dextron II, but don’t think that is sold anymore

      you can use dextron III, it is backwards compatible to dextron II, hope this helps, thank you for watching.

    Yeah but what kind of bottle I'm going to put the power steering

      I am assuming you are referring to what kind of bottle to put the oil fluid into? I used an old 4 liter plastic winshield washer fluid bottle. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and commenting!

    How many litres should I get for flushing and replacing power steering fluid? Thank you

    • @zmanvideo1
      @zmanvideo1  4 года назад +1

      I would recommend 5 liters. Also, if the old fluid is very dirty, then I would recommend replacing the reservoir as it has a built-in filter which you cannot clean. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

    My steering is very jittery and it just squeals every time I turn. Should I replace the whole pump?

    • @zmanvideo1
      @zmanvideo1  3 года назад +1

      I would recommend before you do any replacement to first flush the fluid and check the condition of the belt and tension, if your fluid is really dirty then I would replace the reservoir because it has in internal screen/filter that cannot be cleaned, then recheck. Thank you for watching and please let me know if you have any other queries.

    I have Suzuki GV 2006 but the place of the tank you show is different from mine !! How come?

      Do you have a right-hand-drive or left-hand-drive Grand Vitara? Also, mine is the 2.7 petrol V6.

      @@zmanvideo1 mine is left drive. My bad. I checked up. I mistaken the reservoir with another one.
      I haven’t change the fluid since 2013 at least. Is this why my steering wheel is a bit stiff?

      @@zmanvideo1 can you redo this video with step by step process please ?

    • @zmanvideo1
      @zmanvideo1  3 года назад

      @@itriedyourrecipe8646 If the fluid is dirty then yes it could be a source of steering stiffness, also, if the fluid is really really dirty then you may wish to replace the resevoir since it has a built in filter in it which is not cleanable. Use the correct fluid and also make sure the power steering belt is in good condition and tensioned properly.

      @@itriedyourrecipe8646 Unfortunately, I will not have time to redo a detailed video, however, I can offer you a couple of options: you can see my video on my suzuki sx4, which is essentially the same as this one (ruclips.net/video/KwbjJPPYhRQ/видео.html), or you can see how volvosweden does it, he has a very good detailed video, I used the same method as he did, same procedure for a grand vitara, link to his video here: . Hope this will help you out. ruclips.net/video/AJyTlf005HM/видео.html
