Nice video as usual, and you had a nice day to shoot. I've made this drive SB a few times from Sacramento (I go up on 99) and the traffic does thin out a lot once you're clear of the 205 junction.
One tidbit: north of the Hwy 12 intersection is where in Feb '79 there was a ceremony to mark the completion of I-5 from Canada to Mexico.

I remember an early video you did of I-5 though the Stockton Metro. It seems that CalTrans had put on work in adding those carpool lanes since you did that video. Too they couldn't fix the crime issues in Stockton proper.

I've always wondered this. At 0:23, you see a 3rd lane form, only for it to shrink back down to 2 less than a mile later before 205 merges on. But, why add a 3rd lane only to immediately get rid of it? Doesn't make sense to me. IK that the new lane is a left lane, and the ending lane is the right lane, but it still doesn't make sense to me.

Wow, there's a CA. guide sign with a standard above the sign exit# tab in the beginning of video...What's up with that!!?😝 Stockton CA. was once considered one the best medium size cities to live in..but not now I understand.

Stockton, unfortunately, also has the dubious distinction as one of the worst cities in California. I've been there many times, and I sarcastically refer to Stockton as "Crackton" due to how broken down Stockton is.

Yeah. Stockton makes the whole county (San Joaquin) look bad. It’s not a good place to hangout that’s for sure.
