After the first find of Huanglongbing (HLB) disease in Florida in 2005, insecticide use to control the vector Asian citrus psyllid increased tremendously. For more than a decade, 12 or more sprays were implemented per year in citrus groves. Additional options for an integrated pest management approach including biological and cultural control; products, timing and methods of chemical control and protected citrus production systems were investigated and will be discussed.
