Interesting examples. Thank you. The volatility can only mean one thing: Google realizes that the August update didn't deliver the results they had in mind. Looking at the search results, I have to agree with that. In my own tiny dataset of 3 sites it was all hit and miss. Two surged but didn't deserve it. One dropped and didn't deserve it.
Good stuff here, Glenn. It feels exceptionally cruel to give Housefresh/Retrododo false hope with just a few shorts weeks of visibility before burying them in the SERPs again. For that reason alone, I think/hope we haven't seen the end of this recent volatility 🤞🏼
Really hard to say when the next confirmed algorithm update will roll out. I can see another core update later this fall, but in 2023, there were six confirmed algo updates in a short period of time... which was insane (and unusual). Also, the reviews update is running behind the scenes and Danny explained that was being updated pretty frequently... What we're seeing now could be a number of things, including Google decoupling algorithms from broad core updates and running them separately, testing something else in the wild (which could be rolled back), or other things. Stay tuned. I'll be tracking this closely.
yeah i have also get this changes i am seo analyst for a blockchain company past week i have lot of traffic from uk but we just focus on only us regions. I cant even find out why it is happend
Absolutely, but very interesting to see a number of sites impacted by the Aug 24th tremor reverse course on 9/6... Also interesting to see HCU(X) sites that surged with the August core update start to drop back down. I cover what I think this could be at the end of the video in case you didn't check that out yet. Stay tuned.
It's across verticals and across different types of sites. And again, I'm seeing a connection with the Aug 24th tremor, and then some HCU(X) sites that surged with the August update are reversing course a bit. Will be interesting to see if this sticks...
Since 3 days we got hit like crazy, we focused on the German market. All our important rankings are gone. It’s crazy!
Always appreciate your insights, Glenn! 🙌
Hey, thanks Jack. I appreciate it! I'll be tracking this closely and will post more about what I'm seeing. Stay tuned.

thx for analysis

When do we think Google will announce another public algo update? With this continued volatility it seems that unconfirmed algo tweaks are running.

FInding patterns for SEO is difficult now.

Glenn do these sites you monitor that have dropped have anything in common? AI content, affiliate links, ecommerce, ads etc.
