5 years ago I went on a bucket list adventure that was almost ended by a cow. I joined a Baja 1000 motorcycle race experience driving the same course 2 weeks after the big race on a Honda 450. When driving through a narrow pass on the ledge of a mountain with a Death drop edge down 300 ft on a narrow 4 ft path I was coming around a bend and standing there was a wild long haired Mexican cow. My options were to go off the cliff edge and die or drive into the cow and bounce of and possibly die or…. Lay the bike down and slide into the cow and possibly die from being trampled by an enraged bovine with horns. In a millisecond I knew the slide was the only option. To my utter amazement the bull didn’t flinch as I slid into it. I mean he was frozen in place. No injury to the bull or bike or myself. I talked calmly to the bull, thanked him , picked up the bike and rolled it past him and resumed my trek through the mtn pass expecting it could happen again. At the pit stop I told the guide what happened and he said, oh , yes, I forgot to mention the cows!! I’ll never forget that bull 🐂.
I knew it was just the camera lens and not HIS eyes but every time it was covered, that was MY EYES, and for just those few seconds - I WAS FREAKING OUT..........🤣

Nowadays everyone wears a cam. Seems the best race video is usually the fastest guy starting at the back of the pack (like in MegAvalanche). This one was so exceptional with the 'yield the lead' rule in effect when racing with friends! Takes a lot of trust in your fellow racers.
