This has got to be the cheapest, thinnest copy of a grimmoire encyclopedia. Thousands upon thousands, upon thousands of references with no color, and in black and white. A true encyclopedia of this magnitude would cost thousands of dollars. This is a bargain

The amount of information contained within these two is gonna make me cry tears of joy..
It will help limit the weight of my shelf.. I'll only need excess books for indepth wisdom about certain topics im specifically interested in.. otherwise these two are perfect for the rest..
Thank you for such a great review

Got my hardcover preorder a few days ago and finally dug in yesterday. Funny that I'm so excited about 1200ish pages of endless tables. I had the same minor issue with the cover on the spine but fully agreed on the cost given the size. It's hard to imagine the amount of work that went into compiling all of this.

I only recently got interested in the grimoires and I am now fascinated by them. I am still working my way through JSK's Encyclopaedia Goetica (I am loving it). My mind's made up - I am getting this.

There's also Jophiel the archangel in Briah which is ascribed to Chokmah, which is different from the intelligence in Yetzirah (not an archangel) of Jupiter. These are two different beings, with two different spellings in Hebrew. Confusion between them is similar to the confusion which arises between several other similar sounding spiritual creatures.

Great review, Denis-as always! I love David’s work and have been eagerly awaiting these tomes since I caught wind of the work-in-progress. I’m back from a mini-sabbatical and the first thing I did when I hit RUclips was dial up my Foolish Fish! 🎏 I missed your keen insights, solid recommendations, and uncanny knack for unearthing occulted magical gems for your loyal subscribers while I was busy editing our company’s first volume in our new book series-the Traditional Latin American Magic Collection… It’s a deep dive on Cuban Santería and during the editing process I’ve learned a lot, visited Botanicas Nuevas, and allied myself with several complementary Orishas! It’s been a fascinating trip and we’re just getting started (Our next title is a behind the veil look at Haitian Voodoo, of which Papa Legba himself would approve!) Unfortunately while I was heads-down, all my RUclips memberships lapsed, so I’ll be renewing them shortly! You, sir, are on the top of my list. Thank you for your continued work and I’m so excited to get my copy of your book soon. Best wishes, brother! ✌🏼

The trick for aspiring magicians coming along today is to sort through the vast quantities of ancient and original texts to determine how to proceed. Few (if any) will be able to make extensive use of these resources. This encyclopedia is one tool for those individuals, and your review shows how it might be used with that end in mind. Was it easier when I came along? Sure. Better? That's probably a question for your HGA to answer. Thanks for exploring these things for us all.

Grimoires are complicated and their methods are often obtuse but they are the best method for spirit contact before you get a more direct method. Learning how to contact that spirit more easily the next time via questioning like what time do you like to appear or what sigil do you respond is a good practice.
