Camilo MM heidi's wing is made of styrofoam so it is very lightweight, it's just very tall. The feathers used in KK's peacock wings are said to be very lightweight and the gold part is styrofoam so this pair of wings is no more than 40 lbs. also KK's wing in 2007 is also said to be styrofoam. Whereas Ale's wing, created by jewel embroiderer Manik Mercian, are copper and gold triangular pieces put toghether into a fan made out of heavy materials. Plus the amount of Swarovsky crystals and granite stones on the wings ( which is a total of nearly 120000 crystals and stones from big to small) is said to weigh nearly 25 lbs which makes the pair of wings more than 60 lbs. Also, my point is (because you seemed to have missed it): if PETA were really protesting against the use of fur, why go for someone who has no authority on which material to use on their clothes? Why not go for the designer/brand? Their protest is useless & stupid because even if Gisele models for them or not, it changes nothing. They're still gonna use fur.

back in the early 2000s people didn't realize what fur was about, she wrote on her book "lessons" this protest helped her seeing the environmental size and that fur was cruelty, she changed a lot but she wasn't a bad person. She just didn't know fur was very cruel to animals.

they're definitely NOT! why should an innocent animal get skinned for you to be 'warm' or even worse look good on the runway. You simply can wear fake fur just to keep warm , they sometimes look good too!
Killing an animal for fur and killing an animal to eat is almost the exact same thing. We need meat to eat, so we kill cows, pigs, etc. Unless your vegan or vegetarian of course, it's the exact same thing as killing an animal for its fur. When people go hunting for animals, they usually eat it and keep its fur. So it's not a big deal. For example if you hunt down deer, or rabbit for its fur, the meat isn't going to waste. It's the exact same thing as eating cow and pig, you just keep parts that could be useful for clothing. Also, fake fur is different from animal fur. Fake fur isn't as rich and soft as animal fur. And to get REAL fur coats, they would cost thousands of dollars so not many people would have them.

Dr.Smarty Pants Yea but there is a difference between eating and wearing animals. Sometimes animals killed in long pain just so that the fur wouldn't get damaged. Eating them is a different story for other reasons too, one is for survival the other one is useless, especually when you can still wear fake fur unless you are a snobbie.
