I'll never forgive Rowling for giving up the opportunity of a redemption arc for Draco. They're so hard to pull off and so rarely well executed and she couldve really done an amazing job with Draco. I know she meant to show him as a coward and that's it but who says cowards cant play momentous parts in a war. We had Wormtail after all

EXACTLY. It pisses me off so badly. It’s probably the only reason why I won’t finish the series; because just seeing the opportunity for him to be redeemed only for him to choose Voldemort’s side in the end makes me so mad.
But that’s the great part of his character. He did have redemption when he lied about not recognizing Harry at his house. I don’t think he would ever experience the kind of redemption you speak of. He was brought up in a dark family and that’s just his personality and environment
Everyone seems to love Draco, to understand him... I'll give you an advice: it is full of people that were controlled by their parents when they were young, so talk with people, there is always someone that needs help.

Hands down, Draco's story was more compelling than Harry's. He started out as the privileged kid, but that did not mean he was necessarily evil, just spoiled and indoctrinated with a bad ideology. Yet something inside him fought against that and you could tell that he had a truly good core. I hope if we get a reboot, that they give more space to Draco's redemption because it's by far the more interesting story.

Book Draco is a 1 dimensional-spoiled brat (imo), but the movie Draco has so much depth that I wish it was explored more. Most of the time he was in the background or thrown in for the laughs. I wish the writers and the author had done so much more with the character - perhaps had at least 1 movie exploring the Slytherins as whole as they were deemed as the antagonists and so it's only fair to show their side of story and their origins too. I know HBP is somewhat focused on Slytherins/Snape, but it superficially brushed over the complex characters. And, I don't think movie Draco would've been as iconic/memorable as he is if it wasn't for the brilliant performance of Tom Felton. Truly, the only child actor (with Rupert Grint imo) that acted well and added dimension & depth to a character that otherwise would've been plain and boring and the fact that his 31 minute of screen-time was more than enough for fans to want more of the character speaks volume of Tom's acting ability. Tom's career may not have had skyrocketed post HP, but I hope it does one day and people get to see and appreciate his talent.

Draco's family loved him, but he was also raised with the ideology of blood purity and he didn't really know what that meant until Half Blood Prince. It's amazing that he was still able to retain his morality despite everything he went through. He's not perfect and the scar that Riddle left on him was so much deeper than Harry

I am deeply ashamed that I used to flirt with Malfoy. Bullying is a serious problem and it hurts so many people everyday. Bullying should not be considered sexy. Nice guys are my type I want to be a role model and the best version of myself. Never do bad things to impress boys or girls. Mental illness is no excuse for bad behavior. I was in a really dark place. If my flirting with Malfoy made anybody go down a dark path or anybody got hurt I am genuinely sorry. I am deeply ashamed and I always will be
