As a guitar player I’ve been going back and learning a ton of songs on this album. They’re not complicated, but playing the THIS tight is a skill set in itself. Never mind the drumming being as close to perfect as possible. Such pioneers and masters of their craft. I haven’t seen them live since the continent 10 year tour so i needed this thank you 🙏🏻
Spot on. Besides a couple tricky riffs, it's not that bad to learn this album, but performing it straight through this tight is not easy, especially on the 8 strings.
Yep, insane levels of skill to essentially produce that whole record note perfect and with samples, exact tones, etc. Fucking phenomenal. I'm in a 6 piece of a different genre and it took us 6 months to get 6 or 7 songs less half as tight as they play for 50 mins.
This recording does a fantastic job of capturing how massive these guys sounded in that room that night. Killer band, killer album, killer performance.
lol I warned my buddy when we saw the contortionist play exoplanet. Mins later a dude got knocked out and the pit was stomping him out and had no clue. We had to go over and scream at everyone to stop. Took 3 ppl to carry him out. He was out man. I knew some shit was gonna happen lol that’s why I warned my buddy to watch out lol
One of my fondest concert memories was seeing these guys in a venue smaller than 300 capacity on a little for the fans tour they did. Their energy and performance is still phenomenal. Thank you for this video.
I'm so glad I had the chance to meet Vincent, we talked a bit after a BLASTING show at vans warped tour 2017 (MA) this guy just finished the show and jumped in middle of us to hang with us.... bro.. c'mon, such an incredible humble human being, with a huge heart that can barely fit his chest. had to go through the comments to see if anyone mentioned this !! Absolutely best part of the show. I fucking died haha. How fucking good was this set!! Acacia Strain been getting it done for years
The kick drum patter mixed with the riff at 10:28 will forever be one of my favorite grooves of all time for this band. Its like my jaw naturally follows it in the best way. So much so its probably bad for my teeth. WE ARE WOOOORMWOOOODDDDDDDDDD 😛
I found another one from Cincinnati on here! We saw them in SC in Sept 2022, it wasn’t a full album set but it was badass, energy like this but it wasn’t in a church basement with building block carpet lmao, the set was a lot of Continent and older stuff plus a lot of Slow Decay it was great
I’ve loved their music and been a fan since Continent. I kinda want them to be accepted into the current hardcore scene. They’ve always had connections with hardcore but have always been adjacent. There’s nothing wrong with that, but could you imagine them headlining TIHC??
I think some bands intentionally distance themselves from the hardcore scene because they aren't fond of how things operate within it. And these guys prolly make way more money than the bands that play TIHC honestly lol. No shade just telling it how it is
Been listening since 2009 and I couldn’t be happier they got me into so many bands and inspired me to pick up a guitar and literally just play deathcore ❤ love this band forever can’t even believe they been doing this shit since 2001 it’s insane.

The "you have 15 seconds to get somewhere safe" in the beginning gave me chills.

I will not be responsible for the things that will happen to you!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Seriously, though, such a badass way to open a set.
@wadeb5042 Considering there are stories of UFC fighters and people putting in mouthguards for Acacia pits it's not unwarranted.

My god The Impaler was crushing. TAS has done nothing but improve
Current line up is SOLID too.
Dammit I love The Acacia Strain! 🤘 Hats off to Hate5six for another incredible mix! Sound is top-notch per usual. Awesome episode! 🎶"THE HIIILLLLLLS HAAVVEEE EEYYYYEEES"🎶
Props to everyone that helped make this video. Amazing quality on all fronts!
Also, love that this set was in a church, haha!
The drummer laughing after Peter jumps into the crowd is hilarious. That’s a big boy
lol im dying at this
had to go through the comments to see if anyone mentioned this !! Absolutely best part of the show. I fucking died haha. How fucking good was this set!! Acacia Strain been getting it done for years
Time stamp?
@@dustinplatt6882 10:27 he jumps right after the feature on BTM FDR
The kick drum patter mixed with the riff at 10:28 will forever be one of my favorite grooves of all time for this band. Its like my jaw naturally follows it in the best way. So much so its probably bad for my teeth. WE ARE WOOOORMWOOOODDDDDDDDDD 😛
We may not be enemies , but we cannot be friends. ✊
holy shit that's so sick that they did a wormwood set in 2021, whoever was there is so lucky
I found another one from Cincinnati on here! We saw them in SC in Sept 2022, it wasn’t a full album set but it was badass, energy like this but it wasn’t in a church basement with building block carpet lmao, the set was a lot of Continent and older stuff plus a lot of Slow Decay it was great
Kevin is a machine! Sounds perfect!
I love coming back to wormwood every year and falling in love with it over and over again. One of the greatest metal albums to ever be released.
Everything sounds soo good! Love hearing the lead bits more upfront too, they are pushed to the back in the album versions
Still coming back to this for my monthly watch, Wormwood was absolutely 🤌🤌
I’ve loved their music and been a fan since Continent. I kinda want them to be accepted into the current hardcore scene. They’ve always had connections with hardcore but have always been adjacent. There’s nothing wrong with that, but could you imagine them headlining TIHC??
I think some bands intentionally distance themselves from the hardcore scene because they aren't fond of how things operate within it. And these guys prolly make way more money than the bands that play TIHC honestly lol. No shade just telling it how it is
They’re absolutely accepted in modern hardcore.
I really appreciated that little bit of Slayer at 1:04:41
peter rono always gives me chills
have chills , its been 10 years since I have seen them . and they played the album perfect. wow
Truly one of the best shows on this channel
Vincent's vocals are hauntingly amazeballs, the whole band as so TIGHT live!
Wow was not expecting them to sound this good still… monster vocals. Came to just see what they opened with… stayed for the whole set
followed them around different cities on this tour was the best times of my life❤️
Drove from Cincinnati to Philly for both shows of that tour. Was so sick
Thank you, it’s a pleasure to see a 1h set of TAS. I love how Vincent is so fucking positive.
So glad I got to see these guys a few years ago. This video is everything.
*Beast intro chugs start*
Ralph Wiggum: "Haha, I'm in danger."
Been listening since 2009 and I couldn’t be happier they got me into so many bands and inspired me to pick up a guitar and literally just play deathcore ❤ love this band forever can’t even believe they been doing this shit since 2001 it’s insane.
The most known unknown. These guys will always have a special place in my heart.
10:06 Peter Rono my beloved?? Kaonashi on the A Strain stage????
One of my all time favorite albums of any genre 💥
This is seriously the best vocally Vincent has sounded love imo man
Still isn’t DL but these dudes bring it too
Thanks for this upload dude! And shoutout to the engineer love that the ambient backing tracks are heard heard gives a different angle of this masterpiece
Came here to say I love this set and is helping me through some hard shit. And if you’re going through some hard shit rn I hope you reach out to close friends or family. Love yourselves homies.
Kevin best drummer in the game.
I'm presently on my girlfriend's phone and would like to say that my personal favorite The Acacia Strain show was in Connellsville Pa. USA.
@ The Cinema w/opening band CULTURE KILLER, KNOCKED LOOSE, OCEANO, and THE ACACIA STRAIN (headlined).
whoever recorded that sound is a godmaster. This is so intense....
What a fantastic performance... Recording mix and mastering is on point..
These guys are incredible. They are so good live. What a great album.
He really dedicated the song “Nightman” to the city of Philadelphia.
I saw these guys about 15 years ago, they rip live. Also damn time flies!
This sounds BETTER than the albums!!! These guys are KILLER live! And I fucking LOVE Vincent’s vocals!!!!
just wanna add that even without these videos these Boyz are living breathing and rocking in my world. The Acacia Strain FOREVER
When the complimentary breakfast runs out at The Holiday Inn, shit gets hectic.
