My biggest question is what made you decide to switch back to Primary Math? I would also love if you did a video on what you believe to be each of the programs’ (Primary, Dimensions and Primary 2022) strengths and weaknesses for families trying to choose. Thank you!!
I personally enjoy the teaching style of the original Primary over any of the others. For example how clear they are that certain topics need to be known before advancing. Great idea, I will work on having a comparison of all 3 after the first of the year!
I am relating to this so much! Primary 2022 worked for 2A/2B but now it is a struggle bus and yes, I'm over the large instructor's guide too. We're currently making our way through the Multiplication Facts That Stick and my daughter is loving it. I thought she wouldn't like the black and white, plain worksheets but it doesn't seem to bother her. I've never watched a flip through of Primary Math and I'm honestly liking what I see. It just looks straightforward and more streamlined. And the games!
Yes I think Primary math original maybe the most game based of the 3. We liked Multiplication Facts that Stick also...we did some of that this summer to catch up with what was missed with PM2022. Glad to know its helpful!
Thanks for this! I would love to hear more how you use Primary mathematics with Beast Academy. Which level of Beast does she use to go along with Primary 3A? Do you use Primary as your "spine" and do the appropriate Beast lesson that goes with that topic? We have been struggling to find a good math program and have incorporated Beast this semester. We love it but I think my daughter needs more practice so I was going to have her do Beast several times a week, and then add in more problems with another program for practice.
She does BA once a week usually for independent math days. I started her out a level below since it was all independent, but since working with multiplication I moved her to that section of BA so she has two ways of seeing how multiplication works. Before that she wasn't coordinating with PM, she would just complete a certain amount of time with BA.

I would be interested in that as well!
Good to know, thank you!
