- The latex CRP test is a rapid agglutination test on the blade for the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of reactive C protein in human serum samples. CRP is an acute phase reactant that increases rapidly but nonspecifically in case of inflammation, tissue damage or infections.
This detection method uses a suspension of latex particles coated with anti-human C-reactive human antibody (antibody) specific antibodies to be contacted with the patient's serum (containing PCR). If the agglutination reaction occurs, the test is considered positive.
