This is nearly the worst solution, especially if they don't speed up leveling. Elemental damage mods in Warframe mostly use the same two symbols, they use 9-11 capacity if not primed, and mods on average are cheaper. So Nexon decided if we want flexibility we have to use more catalyst and spend even longer in the leveling process. Instead of doing what Digital Extremes did; reduce XP grind, make all elements share similar polarities, and reduce modual cost. This is just adding to a tedious process that has no reason to be so annoying when they literally copied the game that does modding and leveling better.
I really appreciate how your update videos aren’t just you reading through the patch notes like most others, but also giving your thoughts on the content.
Slight correction on the Highest Difficulty thing. The speed run mode is the invasion missions that are going to be rotated in & out each week that can be cleared twice a day. & have to be done solo. The highest difficulty infiltration is a complete other different thing that will have matchmaking & unique loot that can only be found at that difficulty. No time based mechanic tied to it at all.
So many people upset about a free game😳 settle down and just dont buy anything if you're too impatient to play TFD. Patience is a REQUIREMENT for this game, guys.
Because it's free we just need to bend over and take whatever they shove at us? That's not how it works. Players still need to be happy or else they'll spend no money. And then the servers will shut down

@@RobbieRobbie Here's some food for thought, it's okay to put the game down. There was no reason to speed blitz it that hardcore in the first place. It's a new live service game, there's only so much content that can be in a new game let alone one that plans to live and grow with its players. There's only so much time for devs to create the additional content. Genshin Impact does updates every 6 weeks or something? That's a multi billion dollar IP with a bigger studio (now).

In the matchmaking screen, on the right hand side the top half is where you choose your rewards and the bottom half is where you set the difficulty options. they're not talking about the difficulty options (enemy hp, player atk, etc) they're talking about effects based on the amorph/stabilizer reward selection (fire skill +10%, fusion skill +10%, etc.)
All in all, not to bad. ANY improvement to the reactorfarming, and components in general, especially better searching, sorting, trashing, filtrering etc , will make the game more enjoyable. If I were to actually take a serious look on each reactor before trashing it now, I wpild spend 80% of my gametime in the inventory screen , hovering over reactors... so prob trashed a couple of good ones without knowing... Hope it will be intuitive but not to simple. I like some advanced filters
@@DonPetexX to be fair the roadmap does say each season is 3 updates. It is just as much on the player to be informed as it is the developer to inform. So while i agree they could and should be more clear. With just a brief amount of research you could have informed yourself more.
I'm good with it. Basically what Fortnite does. Has a season trailer w everything, then trickles in character, weapons, abilities (basically a weapon), little map changes, maybe a mid-season mini battle pass ,etc. Sounds better than binging everything right away, then being mad about no new content for the next six weeks or so.
Is this intentional gaslighting? Nexon informed us a while ago that seasons would be broken up into multiple updates. There’s literally a roadmap available. Season 2 is also going to be in 3 updates.
saying it will be in 3 updates is something , and giving shyt useless content for the first 2 months then releasing the good content on the third update is something else. game wont live long enough to reach season 2. it is now dying already , most significant dedicated first descendant streamers have closed the game after reading these notes and bought and started playing Wukong instead. Either they rearrange what will be released in the "3 phase update" in a way that will satisfy the community , or this game will die in maximum 3 more months imo. people will wait for this one and see how it goes , and when season 2 is announced and game content is split also in 3 phases with most important after 2 months , thats when the game will officially die.

It’s not their fault people are simple. There was no reason to assume everything would drop at once. Everything in the game right now didn’t all come out at release. Live service games drip feed content.
Infiltration dungeons at the start of the season are the timed runs not the Hard Mode ones added in phase 3. The description clearly states this. The Hard mode ones added later say they will include hard only rewards, this is at the same time the merchant starts so I assume the rewards will be for use with the merchant.
I only play TFD when I have nothing to do in Warframe. The problem is TFD copies the mechanics of Warframe and everything they have not copied is worse in my eyes so it will always be second fiddle unless they do some gameplay innovation. The colossi bosses were a nice try but I don't find 10min timer and every boss having a shield that cannot be damaged for a time or hitting critical points unique or interesting mechanics, and Warframe while having loot drops and boxes there are a lot of systems in place so you don't feel like your wasting your time. Picking from 4 loot rolls with friends and trading namely.
The change with Catalysts is a crazy good idea. It expands build options so much. Yet i wonder if they are doing something with the investment back in terms.of energy activators AND catalysts once you decide to sell a Descendent or erase him
Luckily I didn’t spend activators or cats on characters with an ultimate option except for bunny. Level to 40 for mastery in bunny cave and sell off. Only keep ultimate versions.
Good QOL features. Waiting for a decendent isn't a big deal, not like 1 extra character is going to change the amount of missions we have to use it in. I would have liked to see the trader asap, I hope it sells catalysts and cosmetics too. The shard change is unreal! That's going to save me from the burnout that's currently happening

I’m playing Wukong until season 1 drops, play for a week or so for new content, then play Warhammer until the Oct content drop. Rinse repeat. Maybe I’m speaking from a place of privilege and ppl can’t afford multiple games. For that I understand and hope financially things get better for you. But if you’re not under that category you gotta be bitching just to bitch. I don’t get it at all. There’s 10000000 games to preoccupy your time between content drops

I’m really happy with this road map not everything is being thrown at me at once. I have 3 hours maybe 4 hours (rarely) if I push it on weekdays and a little extra on Sunday like 6-7 hours.

In the dungeons, each amorph sets a certain 2 buffs and the other amorph has a different set. They are getting rid of those and leaving it just as the mods that influence points
Honestly I think this reinforces the lack of need of speed farming exp gold in one single mission. Makes farming versatility much more reasonable, along with having drop versatility from now being comfortable farming everywhere as there will only be 2 new characters to upgrade every 3 months
I’m actually pretty disappointed the videos/ trailers that dropped made it seem like all of the content would be available on August 29th. I’m more hyped about ult freyna as I love playing her but tbh if she’s coming out in October 30th I’ll probably be to busy investing into a HUGE game Dragon age Veil guard so idk the timing seems really rough lol.
On the note of the Socket changes, it sounds like you still have to level it again, Catalyzing it just means resetting it from 40 to 0. I mean we'll see when it actually is in the game but to me it sounds like adding a catalyst to an existing slot will still take it from 40 to 0.

Correct, but the way it works now, you level to 40 and Catalyst the slot to Cerulian. If I want to make it a malachite, I level to 40 and spend another Catalyst. If I want to go BACK to Cerulian, I have to level and spend another catalyst. The new way means I can switch back to Cerulian whenever I want without leveling and without spending a catalyst once I’ve done it one time. Thats awesome for characters that need completely different mods for bossing and mobbing builds. I could actually focus on one character to do everything instead of leveling and maxing different character for different jobs.

Since you're switching back and forth, what happens if you want Xantic or Rutile? That's what I want answered. I can only assume we still need to level it up again.
@@ImproperStandby Right now, if I have a slot that I want to switch between M and Star, I have to level and pay a catalyst for each switch, every switch, every time. New system means my current M slot can change to a C with a single level up and Catalyst. After that I can switch that slot between C and M for free whenever I want without leveling or spending a catalyst. If I want to make it a C and M and Star, I need to level it once and spend a catalyst to get the star unlocked for that slot, but then I can change between those three whenever I want without leveling or a catalyst. Hope that makes sense. Think of it as buying a type, you only level and pay for it once, and then you can stick it on that slot whoever you want for free since you already bought it.
@mikelitten7489 So from what I understand, you still need to level it up to get the Star on that storage which from then on you can switch to M,C then Star. I mean I somewhat get it but I would have to see it in play and in action, I still see it as spending a catalyst to level to store a Star onto it so I can switch. To be honest it sounds like for a full flex slot, I need to level that slot up 4 times with 4 Catalysts.
releasing hailey now and her red modules after two months is dumb af imo. so basically the 2 new characters will be playable after 2 months , and the only worthy new content "unrepeatable" will be the Colossi in 1 month , so I see this season patch release as few new missions or whatever, content is afte 1-2 months. So they are telling people go grind for 2 more months. Every recognizable streamer of the first descendant after hearing this patch note decided to close the game and buy and play Wukong. Game is on the edge of dying imo, and with their way of handling things it will die sooner than we may expect. I dont care content takes time, I dont care whatever excuse that may be put on the table , they managed to release Ultimate Valby+Luna+Gluttony , besides the rest of descendants which players have got and mastered all in 40 days since game released . now you telling this kind of hungry community "wait 2 months for 2 descendants" is a game committing suicide in the eyes of their true grinders.
I wish they'd have more balance changes. It's boring out there after you level up some weapons. If the new areas arent difficult enough I think taking long breaks will be the only way to retain my interest long term.

I'm disappointed but y'all are being ridiculous. It's really not a big deal. And im glad ult freyna is further out I just had finished maxing mine out when the announcement was made. And it sounds like the farming improvements for void Reactors is happening with the first update for season one. It was a promotional announcement for season one Everything is still coming in season One just throughout it, like most games do. Since this game came out, we already got a new Descendant a new collsi new guns a new ultimate decendant costant improvements. I've played warframe and still do And I take breaks in between updates. Because I'm all caught up this game. I still have plenty to do. It's only been out a few months and I don't play like my life depends on it. I play to have fun. And since we know the new vendor it's going to let us trade our useless drops from amorphous materials The more we have stocked up, the more we can buy. Hes just like baro ki'ter from warframe. And with how this game has performed so far, I imagine we're going to get more stuff throughout the season then they listed.
ETA-0 is literally Xur. In every single way. Not hating, I love that it will be in the game. Just worth noting. Would love it if they added an analog to Rahul too. i.e. an in game materials exchange.

Honestly i expected the mentioned content to arrive day 1, it would only make sense. You'd think they want to start Season 1 with a BANG - especially after the relatively dry pre-season. I don't understand why they hold back so much content. Maybe we aren't seeing the full picture and there will be a lot of surprises and content in the actual patchnotes next week.
Gotta drip feed the content to keep player attention. Many players would go play something else after the first few weeks, buy doing it this way they increase average player count over the total season.

Im fine with the content pacing. if it bothered, I can go play something else and come back when more content releases. but... stil having fun and getting QoL updates on the weekly and decent amount of feature improvements. Despite the abysmal store, they are still doing good work on the game.
Am I the only one that's kind of shocked that Luna isn't getting a buff? I don't disagree with the characters they chose to buff, but I'm surprised they omitted her when it sounds like the community at large tends to treat her as the worst character in the game. (I am a Luna enjoyer, and I LOVE her design, but whoo boy it's tough that she's like, the most mechanically demanding hero and offers the least amount of value in return) Please just let me be the cute sound girl when I do things I'm begging you :p
Video idea: what characters don't need the ultimate version? (I'm new so maybe it's a dumb question) are there characters that gets almost no value for their ultimate version because the optimal play doesn't use their exclusive ultimate perks?
right now I play one character that I don't plan to change my ult mod,Viessa,farmed for ultimate version but her exclusive mod absolute zero,i dont like it,cold bloodness is so much better and fun for me
The white knight logic is ridiculous at this point. At the start we were praising the game and devs for acknowledging the issues and seeming making adjustments. The issue is they never sufficiently buffed most missions gold or Xp after nerfing Valby farm. Also new content is needed at this point. The end game is making a build and killing colossus. If you’re not interested in more than 4 characters the “grind” is not really there after 200 hours ish. I think this is fine pre season, but a season should have good new content at release. A solo dungeon is definitely not what people were excited for when they said dungeon. It is misleading info even outside of ultimate freyna, that somehow gets defended. Even the “it’s free to play stop complaining” argument is flawed. Time is the most valuable currency. It’s fine to have a Grindy game but they aren’t making it fun or group play. If defense mission gave more rewards and harder difficulty there wouldn’t be as many complaints tbh.
Jayber fix is a nerf! So hear me out. The skill power modifier was a good thing. You can still use dimension skill power modifier but now things like shot focus and max duration will bring jaybers dmg down. Before the stats would change but the dmg wouldn't. So you got the positive but not the negative from these mods. Free duration and free firearm dmg. I don't think a 20% skill power will make up for this. I rather him stay bugged as a jayber main.
@@justicebirb8440 once the update happens if you use focus shot and max duration your skill power modifier goes down after the update. Right now you can use dimension skill power modifier and get the dmg up. Trust me when I say it's a nerf lol

its a grindy game , people who truely play it are beast grinders , you tell a 200MPH car to stop in a sudden , the engine will break down. This is not rush , this is how these games are played , either new content each 2 weeks , or game will die faster than we anticipate and better shut down the whole project or the game will simply become like those dead games with 1k players in it.
Ngl the "seasonal progression" is a massive red flag for me. This kind of thing was a pretty big one of the many reasons why I left Destiny 2 for example. Being someone who already has chronically too little time, this always simply feels like a way to gatekeep more casual players from actual progression by hiding high reward activities behind these seasonal power increases. I want to keep grinding to get something new, interesting or cool. I don't want to be forced to grind some meaningless garbage that will disappear in a week or two just in order to not be gatekept from the actually interesting stuff.

Especially the transcendent mod delay for the new character. its just such a bad move when most of the descendants suck without transcendent mods. they should have never gave every character 4 on launch if that was not going to be the standard for new descendants, let alone only having 2 on character launch like Luna. And they will drop a month later. like WTF is in their head that makes them think its a good idea and that players will prefer this? totally clueless. The only reason i can think is they want players to invest in the new character without knowing if it will be worth it( probably will be bad starting off till balancing happens). they really need to just focus on getting all of the current Descendants ultimate's out first so we are not leveling characters that are basic versions. Then start adding new characters but also the ultimate would come out in parallel. but i really wish ultimates didn't exist but they need to be like warframe so woohoo.
Hailey will be useless , they will release the char now without red modules , which will basically not be worth to invest in , because you dont know what kind of builds that can be formed using the red modules , so Hailey is a dead end too and will be playable after 2 months when her red modules get released. basically farm her parts now, craft her, and park her in the descendants list for 2 months.

Why should I have to be gated into playing something that I'm not particularly interested in? At this point, Ult Freyna will only be available for 1.5 months before the new season starts. What if they release the next Ultimate at the start of the season in response to players being upset now? Hailey is even worse. Spend 2 months building her only to have to switch your build or your catalysts because one of the Transcendent Mods completely changes how she plays. Can you imagine if they did that to Luna and you have to completely rearrange her because you built her for support and now you need dps? At this point I can only assume they are not releasing everything at once because that content is not ready. If that is the case, they shouldn't have advertised it. Also, I do find it weird that all the paid content like the BP and skins are coming out before the stuff you can farm. In any case, nexon won't have my time or my money until they release the content I want to play, not the content they want me to play

Super disappointing news. Btw your lore is wrong, Freyna did not kill her teammates with her arche. They were all infected by Vulgus goo and she had to kill them before they transformed. Her arche made her resistant to the infection.
People complain to complain now a days over anything. Weak asf. None of the devs said anything about all of it dropping at once. That's an expectation that YOU GUYS chose to believe in. The devs never say that everything will come on 29th August?? The trailer shows everything and says at the end 29th August, season 1. The interview also discusses the trade agent on 29th August. The whole marketing about season 1 is misleading. Shows everything, hype everyone, but then only drop 1/3 of the content. Tomorrow, TFD will be at the XBOX Showcase. No one will see the trailer and think, "ahh so season 1 gets splitting in 3 months."

Yeah i d like the change to use the catalyst and you have a universal slot (A,C,R,M etc) and you stay at lvl 40. that would be ideal.

All in all, not to bad. ANY improvement to the reactorfarming, and components in general, especially better searching, sorting, trashing, filtrering etc , will make the game more enjoyable.
If I were to actually take a serious look on each reactor before trashing it now, I wpild spend 80% of my gametime in the inventory screen , hovering over reactors... so prob trashed a couple of good ones without knowing...

I'm good with it. Basically what Fortnite does. Has a season trailer w everything, then trickles in character, weapons, abilities (basically a weapon), little map changes, maybe a mid-season mini battle pass ,etc. Sounds better than binging everything right away, then being mad about no new content for the next six weeks or so.
Is this intentional gaslighting? Nexon informed us a while ago that seasons would be broken up into multiple updates. There’s literally a roadmap available. Season 2 is also going to be in 3 updates.
saying it will be in 3 updates is something , and giving shyt useless content for the first 2 months then releasing the good content on the third update is something else. game wont live long enough to reach season 2. it is now dying already , most significant dedicated first descendant streamers have closed the game after reading these notes and bought and started playing Wukong instead. Either they rearrange what will be released in the "3 phase update" in a way that will satisfy the community , or this game will die in maximum 3 more months imo. people will wait for this one and see how it goes , and when season 2 is announced and game content is split also in 3 phases with most important after 2 months , thats when the game will officially die.

It’s not their fault people are simple. There was no reason to assume everything would drop at once. Everything in the game right now didn’t all come out at release. Live service games drip feed content.
Infiltration dungeons at the start of the season are the timed runs not the Hard Mode ones added in phase 3. The description clearly states this. The Hard mode ones added later say they will include hard only rewards, this is at the same time the merchant starts so I assume the rewards will be for use with the merchant.
I only play TFD when I have nothing to do in Warframe. The problem is TFD copies the mechanics of Warframe and everything they have not copied is worse in my eyes so it will always be second fiddle unless they do some gameplay innovation. The colossi bosses were a nice try but I don't find 10min timer and every boss having a shield that cannot be damaged for a time or hitting critical points unique or interesting mechanics, and Warframe while having loot drops and boxes there are a lot of systems in place so you don't feel like your wasting your time. Picking from 4 loot rolls with friends and trading namely.
The change with Catalysts is a crazy good idea. It expands build options so much. Yet i wonder if they are doing something with the investment back in terms.of energy activators AND catalysts once you decide to sell a Descendent or erase him
Luckily I didn’t spend activators or cats on characters with an ultimate option except for bunny. Level to 40 for mastery in bunny cave and sell off. Only keep ultimate versions.
Good QOL features. Waiting for a decendent isn't a big deal, not like 1 extra character is going to change the amount of missions we have to use it in. I would have liked to see the trader asap, I hope it sells catalysts and cosmetics too. The shard change is unreal! That's going to save me from the burnout that's currently happening

I’m playing Wukong until season 1 drops, play for a week or so for new content, then play Warhammer until the Oct content drop. Rinse repeat. In the dungeons, each amorph sets a certain 2 buffs and the other amorph has a different set. They are getting rid of those and leaving it just as the mods that influence points
Honestly I think this reinforces the lack of need of speed farming exp gold in one single mission. Makes farming versatility much more reasonable, along with having drop versatility from now being comfortable farming everywhere as there will only be 2 new characters to upgrade every 3 months

On the note of the Socket changes, it sounds like you still have to level it again, Catalyzing it just means resetting it from 40 to 0. I mean we'll see when it actually is in the game but to me it sounds like adding a catalyst to an existing slot will still take it from 40 to 0.

Correct, but the way it works now, you level to 40 and Catalyst the slot to Cerulian. If I want to make it a malachite, I level to 40 and spend another Catalyst. If I want to go BACK to Cerulian, I have to level and spend another catalyst. The new way means I can switch back to Cerulian whenever I want without leveling and without spending a catalyst once I’ve done it one time. Thats awesome for characters that need completely different mods for bossing and mobbing builds.
I could actually focus on one character to do everything instead of leveling and maxing different character for different jobs.

New system means my current M slot can change to a C with a single level up and Catalyst. After that I can switch that slot between C and M for free whenever I want without leveling or spending a catalyst. If I want to make it a C and M and Star, I need to level it once and spend a catalyst to get the star unlocked for that slot, but then I can change between those three whenever I want without leveling or a catalyst.
Hope that makes sense. Think of it as buying a type, you only level and pay for it once, and then you can stick it on that slot whoever you want for free since you already bought it.

To be honest it sounds like for a full flex slot, I need to level that slot up 4 times with 4 Catalysts.
releasing hailey now and her red modules after two months is dumb af imo. so basically the 2 new characters will be playable after 2 months , and the only worthy new content "unrepeatable" will be the Colossi in 1 month , so I see this season patch release as few new missions or whatever, content is afte 1-2 months. So they are telling people go grind for 2 more months. Every recognizable streamer of the first descendant after hearing this patch note decided to close the game and buy and play Wukong. Game is on the edge of dying imo, and with their way of handling things it will die sooner than we may expect. I dont care content takes time, I dont care whatever excuse that may be put on the table , they managed to release Ultimate Valby+Luna+Gluttony , besides the rest of descendants which players have got and mastered all in 40 days since game released . now you telling this kind of hungry community "wait 2 months for 2 descendants" is a game committing suicide in the eyes of their true grinders.
I wish they'd have more balance changes. It's boring out there after you level up some weapons. If the new areas arent difficult enough I think taking long breaks will be the only way to retain my interest long term.
For sockets... that good and alll... but for QOL just make it a universal system, 1 catalyst = all socket types for that slot.
Or 2. First one is a brand of choice. Second becomes universal.

Biggest benefit is higher stats (not huge, but still higher) and two free catalysts. Thats two less times to level to 40 right off the start.

The white knight logic is ridiculous at this point. At the start we were praising the game and devs for acknowledging the issues and seeming making adjustments. The issue is they never sufficiently buffed most missions gold or Xp after nerfing Valby farm. Also new content is needed at this point. The end game is making a build and killing colossus.
If you’re not interested in more than 4 characters the “grind” is not really there after 200 hours ish. I think this is fine pre season, but a season should have good new content at release. A solo dungeon is definitely not what people were excited for when they said dungeon. It is misleading info even outside of ultimate freyna, that somehow gets defended.
Even the “it’s free to play stop complaining” argument is flawed. Time is the most valuable currency. It’s fine to have a Grindy game but they aren’t making it fun or group play. If defense mission gave more rewards and harder difficulty there wouldn’t be as many complaints tbh.

Jayber fix is a nerf! So hear me out. The skill power modifier was a good thing. You can still use dimension skill power modifier but now things like shot focus and max duration will bring jaybers dmg down. Before the stats would change but the dmg wouldn't. So you got the positive but not the negative from these mods. Free duration and free firearm dmg.
I don't think a 20% skill power will make up for this. I rather him stay bugged as a jayber main.
If you use a skill power modifier mod with the duration mod + shot focus its still more damage than it is right now lol
@@justicebirb8440 once the update happens if you use focus shot and max duration your skill power modifier goes down after the update. Right now you can use dimension skill power modifier and get the dmg up. Trust me when I say it's a nerf lol

its a grindy game , people who truely play it are beast grinders , you tell a 200MPH car to stop in a sudden , the engine will break down. Especially the transcendent mod delay for the new character. its just such a bad move when most of the descendants suck without transcendent mods. they should have never gave every character 4 on launch if that was not going to be the standard for new descendants, let alone only having 2 on character launch like Luna. And they will drop a month later. like WTF is in their head that makes them think its a good idea and that players will prefer this? totally clueless. The only reason i can think is they want players to invest in the new character without knowing if it will be worth it( probably will be bad starting off till balancing happens). they really need to just focus on getting all of the current Descendants ultimate's out first so we are not leveling characters that are basic versions. Then start adding new characters but also the ultimate would come out in parallel. but i really wish ultimates didn't exist but they need to be like warframe so woohoo.

What if they release the next Ultimate at the start of the season in response to players being upset now? Hailey is even worse. Spend 2 months building her only to have to switch your build or your catalysts because one of the Transcendent Mods completely changes how she plays. Can you imagine if they did that to Luna and you have to completely rearrange her because you built her for support and now you need dps?
At this point I can only assume they are not releasing everything at once because that content is not ready. If that is the case, they shouldn't have advertised it. Also, I do find it weird that all the paid content like the BP and skins are coming out before the stuff you can farm.
