I just finished watching it and while it wasn't on the same unnerving scale as the first one was throughout it was still an interesting watch, it had a different tone yet it was still pretty unsettling because of his unstable psyche you just don't know as a viewer what's coming at you in every other frame of the movie, Mark Duplass really carried this with his acting. I would say it was 1-2 clicks below the original but still a solid watch, got me intrigued enough to finish off the trilogy so that's a good thing!
I still wanna know who Angela really is and whether or not the stabs wounds were real. I don't think he could have run after her in the woods if they were.
Mmm, I think the point is that they're both crazy in different ways and that they've found each other - its kind of...not quite a love story, but something approaching that, a connection. Whatever their characters intended, that's what it becomes for them both, and its how they both handle it that is the meat of the story. I think its pretty bold, honestly. Also there may be an element of role play in it, like...she wants to know what it feels like to be the victim, like in Piercing (certainly in Murakami's novel, I haven't seen the film, but I can't imagine its an accurate rendition of the book honestly). I think it's a psychological study ultimately, which doesn't always make for the best cinema, but it was an ok film - I thought the first one was better personally, they tried to do less with it which means they got more of it right. The end, with the whistle, I think that represents that he is with her now, whether she killed him or not, so it could be her in the final movie, or both of them possibly (I can't see them doing a film in this series with Duplass, honestly).
Wanted to revisit this movie and since I’ve been following you and your wife’s reviews in 2023, I clicked on it not realizing you had started this solo. Anyway, since you mention in this video that you’d hoped your channel would help you meet others like you I’d just like to say #couplegoals. Love your reviews as a couple!
I'm actually hyped about this :D I loved the first - felt so refreshing when it came out! (Leslie is still the cutest thing ever!) What is interesting about this movie is the Mood it set up! The place is almost secondary - it's the emotional strings pulling which is nice
Just finished watching, I thought it was a great follow-up. The first one was more tense but this one was more “enjoyable” in a sense. I don’t know you at all but I couldn’t help but familiarize Sara’s plight to your own. She was a great lead. Looking forward to see how they close this trilogy out.
I watched both movies yesterday and loved them both. The Creep is one of the most unsettling portrayals of a serial killer I've seen because he feels so real. That's why I didn't care for the ending because it felt so silly to me that both Sara and The Creep are running around the woods after both of them have been stabbed 6-7 times. The ending was a bit silly in my opinion.
Thanks so much for uploading this but since you march into the spoilers territory i will check the whole thing after i watch the movie. But the fact that the sequel appears to be on par with the first instalment is more than enough for me, because unfortunately from my experience sequels tend to be inferior than the originals so i am just glad it's not the case with this one!
Yah, I think it would of been a better ending to just show the scene before that and end ambiguously. but thats just nitpicking I loved the movie Duplass acting was great!
Also, seen a few of your videos but looked at your subscribers, totally expected you to have way more, so I subbed, you deserve it bro! I know what it's like to be a horror movie fan in a sea full of normies lol
I enjoyed this film. Just watched the two of them. The first one I just shouted at the screen "go to the police station or go stay with relatives" Someone just sent you a knife in a box and broke your window but you're choosing to stay on your own and deal with it yourself? I found the second one way more entertaining and believable.
Yeah me too I was like go get a gun you fuck or a taser pistol and in the last scene he just doesn't notice a guy coming up putting a mask on grabbing his axe pulling it up. The second one though I didn't know if arron really wanted to kill her in the first place cuz if not why hand her an axe and tell her to kill You. BTW the guy has real talent in acting cuz throughout the whole movie I couldn't tell what he was gonna do next and that's what makes this movie so special and one of the best I've seen in a while. I just wish they don't do much jump scares in the third one cuz it's kinda annoying scary and hurts my ears😂
I thought the first one was just ok, not great and kinda boring and with a downbeat ending which also ruined it. The Second movie I kinda don't mind, it's better over the first. I liked the female character, It's a Interesting idea and plus the ending is fine, It didn't really have a downbeat ending so I gotta give it props for that. I think they should end it with the third film and bring back the girl and have her kill him. But yeah it's a couple steps above the first aot.
1st one blew me away, 2nd one? Not so much. He Lost the creepy look with the beard, he never really played the mind games with her. I never felt like she was in danger. He acted more goofy than creepy.

I think they had to sacrifice some scares to make the story good. The tactics he used in the first one wouldn't have worked on this girl.
I like how you made the comparison to Halloween 3, especially how the first one reminded me SO MUCH of the original Halloween.
He’s just messing with her. From square one.

I hated the ending of the first, but I loved this second one, a good decent ending.
Really enjoyed Creep 2 might have to do a review on my channel, only thing I could of done without was the very end scene.
