A lot of growth from things you played last December. A lot more confidence in hand shifting. Great musicality in the texture differences, dynamics, as well as the path of the piece. I know I've said this before but your hands are monstrous! I'd be interested to see you tackle Chopin's Prelude Op 28 N 20.
Hey thanks. It’s sometimes difficult to gauge progress when your in the thick of it. I’ve felt like not much has changed this year as I’ve not got through many pieces. I guess big hands come with advantages and disadvantages. I can reach a 10th fairly comfortably (not that I’ve needed to yet) but my hands certainly don’t feel nimble.
I learnt to play this last week! I'm still technically on Grade 2, so it was a bit of a stretch for me - but I first listened to it on a YT recording and fell in love with it,so had to give it a go. Your rendition is every bit as good as the version I heard. Really well done. Very assured performance.
Thanks that's very kind. It was a fun piece to learn. There still aren't a great many pieces that use the pedal much in grade 3 so I had to give it a try.
Amazing progress! Haven't been here for a while...then I remembered you...this sounds really good! Well done! I am 2 and a half years learning now... its a lovely journey!
beautiful piece beautifully played, the pedal work sounded perfectly, not over held or released to soon during passages, top work one for the repertoire👍👍👍
Thanks. Yeah, I'll probably keep this one ticking over for a while. It sounds nice and rich due to the pedal where a lot of other pieces at this level lack this.
Haha. Yes, you did. I have been using it for the second A section as it was meant to be pp. However, after I managed to get two decent takes in my first four attempts I realised the audio recorder wasn’t on. It then took another 30 so additional pedalling way out the window after a while.

That’s quite lovely. Well done!
Cheers!
What a nice piece. Great work as usual. Did I see some left pedal there? I thought they were just for decoration ;-)
