Ahhh man! I'm so stoked I found your channel! The ZV-E10 is a camera I really want to get! I love this slider and would really like to save up for this :) Thank you for being such a great help
Be ware of the Pons PT. I bought a micro 2 and pons PT combo a year and half ago and had to send it back because the Pons couldn't support the load of my GH5, which is small in comparison to most cameras. I was well under the weight limit, but the motor didn't sound good at all as it tried rotating my cam. It was just too much stress on the Pons. Great concept, but it needs a stronger motor.
just goit mine super excited for this something that just came to mind we can also use it manually if using it for interviews that way the motor doesnt make noise tbh i love the sound reminds me of R2D2 lol love the vid btw !
Great video my man!! I’ve been on the hunt for a smaller slider for my camera but I couldn’t find one that would support the weight. I’m definitely grabbing one of these after seeing this video. Thanks again and cheers 🍻
Relatively the M3 motor is not louder than others, as you should keep in mind, that it's travel speed is twice of the Micro 2 Plus motor and 4x times faster than eg the Smarttna slider, so when reducing the speed the noise comes down signivicantly. The problem I see is the weight of the M3 series, so I bought the M3 1000 motorized version for very long travel shots on professional productions but kept my motorized Micro2 Plus for traveling as it is much lighter than the M3 series one with the same travel
Great video! However in all the videos I have watched I have only seen time-lapse and static objects. So far no one has done tracking tests with moving objects to check if the movement is smooth. Can this systems track moving objects such as birds, planes., cars, drones?
This has to be one of the best reviews on this slider, thanks man for the insight. This seems like it’s worth the extra cost over some of the base sliders you see on Amazon, for several reasons. You mentioned the loudness perhaps being issue for interviews, and had a question on that: think this would work as B-cam with longer lens, and lav mic on subject? Or is this thing a real howler? Appreciate all your content, thx again!
Great review! Is the purchase link correct? I see it leads to M1000 version, which is manual without the M3 motor. At any point did you need to contact Zeapon customer service? With a few exceptions (DJI, Anker), I find that a lot of Chinese companies have poor CS. I tried to ask them a question through their website contact page a few times, and got error message: “Something went wrong”. This doesn’t instill confidence in slider’s longevity, if any issue comes up after Amazon’s return period.
almost bought this and glad I didn't. It just isnt fast enough for slowmo footage. You can't even tell its moving. They need to produce a fast motor module
Could you by any chance measure the width+height of the case the slider comes in? Im trying to see if it would fit id have space for it in my camera case. Thank you for the review!
Fantastic review with great points as to its cons. I really wished it was quiet whilst still being able to move as slowly or quickly as one wanted. Have you ever had any issues with the smoothness while it extends to it's maximum length on either side?
I have the version 2 of this slider. The wheels that transport the carriage cracked after 3 uses, making it useless. Zeapon offers "free" replacement parts through the company you bought it through for $30 in shipping for up to one year after purchase, but the replacement parts are not available anywhere otherwise. This is a company that lures you in with great features, but then makes products as cheap as possible and just releases a new version once enough people complain and they are forced to fix the issue. Terrible company, buyer beware.
🤦♂️ so vids paused at the fire scene ….. I hold my hand up to get rid of the sky reflection in the camera flip screen 😳 hahahaha 🤷♂️ oh well it happens, thought you & the comment community would get a kick out of that tidbit 😝 ✌️🤙
A shame. I was sold on this from your demos and talk - until you said it was noisy. I want one as a second camera for interviews. Probably go with the Neewer as it does that camera POI with a simple mechanical arm.
@@thefilmalliance I have neither currently but I am on the fence. I think they both are great cameras but it’s just so hard to pick. One of them will be my first I know that for sure.
Have you try to put a gimbal on the top ? Maybe the rs2 with tilta base ? I don’t know the payload though but maybe it can work . 😁 great video by the way !
@@thefilmalliance you can get the remote controlled handle from smallrig or tilta as well and then is gonna be even better !!! Try the old version of tilta because the newer is like 500$+ the old i find it at amazon for like 150 .
Great slider and motors but I get regular freezing of the app requiring phone restart especially in time lapse mode. Anyone else get this problem? Find a fix?
I received my E1000 Micro3 few days ago. I am very disappointed. The slider is not usable for videographers - it's so loud! High frequency loud whistling noise overlapped with mechanical drive noises. Will send it back.
Aw, that is such a bummer. Could the motor be the problem? A couple weeks ago, someone told me that their E1000 Micro3 was too loud, so they ordered a new motor. They never told me if it helped but it was a good idea.
@@thefilmalliance Good idea. I checked it again with the motor only, w/o connection to the slider. There is no change, identical sound. Checked with all three motors. It means the motor unit is responsible for the noises by 100%. It doesn't sound like defect, it's just loud. I noticed much better behavior using batteries instead of direct power supply.
This is why you first watch the advertisement, which this video most definitely is as the content creator was paid off in Zeapon merch, and THEN you watch an ACTUAL review where they tell you the truth about the product ;)
Have you ever used a slider for your shots? If you would like to see more videos like this one like and subscribe!
I have this system but what really makes it a game changer is the Pons PT pan and tilt additions
Going light with a basic phone and not to be distracted with unnecessary notifications is the way to go… totally agree
Good call brother
I guess you can put a standard hand-held gimbal on top, set up PTZ tracking there and sync it with the slider manually.
Yes that's a great idea and something I will have to look into
@@thefilmalliance cool, looking forward to more unusual filming gear videos. Cheers 🔥

Thank you for being such a great help
Thank you for that. Yes both the ZV-E10 and the Zeapon Slider will take you where you want to go, creatively
great video, thanks for putting something out today because this is perfect downtime to consider equipment to make videography fun and interesting.
Hi Michael, thank you for the input. I really appreciate it. You are very welcome

That is awesome. You will not regret it. Please let me know what you think about it when you get it.

Have you tested it for vertical movement? Is the motor enough powerful for this?

This could be really good for involved podcast/video seminar style videos.
Yes as long as you keep that motor sound far enough away from the audio recorder
@@thefilmalliance Sennheiser shotguns!
Thanks for review😊
Any time man. Do you have the Zeapon Micro 3 Slider?
@@thefilmalliance I'm waiting for delivery 😀
Is the motor still loud?
great review and sharing😍😍
Thank you so much for the comment. That is very nice of you.
Let’s say you use this in a live stream, will people sitting like 2 meters away from this thing, hear it? Can you power it by cable?
Yes you would hear it but it would be subtle. As long as you keep it 2 plus meters away I think you would be fine
@@thefilmalliance No way. The slider is much louder you are mentioning here.
You should make a video comparing the Sony Zv-e10 and the Panasonic G85!

4:45 ? I can set a A and B point without an App on my micro 2. Maybe you missed an update? Also "loop" is possible without the app. :-)

worst combo i ever heard; youtuber, selling product and not trying to use a phone (with a bunch of tech stuff in the background)
no paralax? easy pass.
I think you need the tilt and pan head for parallax.
