Scag Tiger Cub Spindle Hub Bearing and Seal Installation

This video shows how it install races, bearings and seals for a Scag Tiger Cub mower deck blade spindle hub. I used Timken bearings and races L44649/L44610 and seal Rotary 13523 and 35UC05. You can buy a kit from Scag that includes bearings, races, seals, and the big snap ring part #481022

Great how to video! Short and to the point. Mightve been beneficial to alot of DIY folks to show how to properly pack the bearing prior to installation. I agree this is crucial and may not be common knowledge to many folks without a mechanical background. Thanks for posting!!

Did you set the pre load on the bearings

No, I just torqued the nut to 150 ft-lbs. Scag rebuild instructions that came in the driver/holder kit did not mention that.
