George Takei, Lea Salonga, and Telly Leung Introduce Broadway to Allegiance

- Star Trek icon George Takei is gearing up to make his Broadway debut in Allegiance, a new musical inspired by his childhood experiences in a Japanese internment camp during World War II. Takei is joined onstage by several stage vets, including Tony winner Lea Salonga, Telly Leung, Katie Rose Clarke, and Michael K. Lee. Before they started previews, the cast took the stage to preview some of the show's songs for the media, including the rousing ensemble number "Paradise" as well as Salonga's emotional "Higher."

Oh my, the last time I saw Lea danced was on her concert entitled PLAYLIST. God, I miss watching her, believe it or not I'm only 18 y/o and been a fan since grade 4! :)
Her Miss Saigon vocal training really improved her voice technically. Superb!

Sa teatro, dapat flexible ka. Sayaw or kanta, dapat marunong ka.
The story is good but the acting is bad, especially from the lead star Lea Salonga. She is so overacting, as always.
She has won a Tony and an Olivier. I am certain that Lea knows more about what must be done when compared to you.

Acting techniques on film and on stage are poles apart. I enjoy watching both, and I make sure I understand the differences between the subtleties of “movie acting” and the bigger body movements involved and called for in “stage acting” so I can write educated and intelligent comments on RUclips.
