What a great fight card! Czyz, Ayala, and Braxton!!! Haven't seen stacked cards like this since Don King was running boxing.🤜💥
I don't envy any fighter who had to get in the ring with Hamsho or Qwawi. Two extremely tough fighters
Hamsho was tough as a $2 steak. 1st time I saw him fight was at the Jersey City Armory against a friend of mine. He was like 19-0 at the time. Hamsho won easily but my friend (who had been a high ranking contender in the past) came off the ropes and buckled his knees with a straight left. Hamsho shook it off and finished. Tough kid for sure.
Yeah, I was at this fight against Czyz, the undercard of Braxton vs Eddie Davis in AC. This was a big step up for Czyz and Hamsho beat him everyway possible. It was always my opinion that Hamsho just happened to be around at the wrong time: Marvelous Marvin Hagler time, otherwise he probably would have been Champ.
@@roberttynski6850 I concur.
If it hadn't have been for Hagler Hamsho would've more than likely been a champion he had to have worked out hard see them ab muscles living strong working hard no sex or anything but boxing
Bobby went to school and got better and still won a title
After facing Hagler he knew this was a cakewalk
Larry Hazzard had the best seat in the house and still couldn't judge the fight correctly.
One of the best referees in my opinion
Brutal..true athletes...
I never realized how much Bobby Czyz looked like John Travolta.
I can imagine some of the spars Czyz & Ayala must of had...
Czyz never wanted to spar with Tony and didn't often
@@robertstroud7561 Who would?
@@tracejohnson5519 Not many. There was a guy from San Antonio, forget his name but people would tell me stories of a guy who hung with Torito. I need to get a hold of Mike.
@@robertstroud7561 dude was a horrible criminal who never fought any champions hes not worth glorifying just cause he beat a few bums
@@yellowhouseproductions2959 Did I EVER say ANYTHING about him NOT being a HORRIBLE CRIMINAL? From a boxing point of view, if you KNOW boxing, as with ALL fighters, he was matched with guys he should've beat early in his career. Boxing is a STYLES chess match. However, his debut was against a guy who had 40 pro fights. He also fought competitive fighters. You call fighters "bums" How many amateur and pro fights did you have?
Young Czyz was intimidated from the beginning as anyone could see during the prefight instructions. He fought stiff-legged and "tight". He just wasn't ready for a very tough and seasoned Hamsho. Round 4 should have been a two-point round for Hamsho.
Great upload, as always
Czyz good class interview at the end of the fight. Too young too soon.
CZYZ AS COSELL SAYS CZYZ WAS TAUGHT A BOXING LESSON !
Czyz very classy in defeat.
Hamsho was to tough and rough and more experienced than Bobby Czyz.
Anyone else notice that Pete Rosario only bothers to comment when he is first?
Too soon!!
Bobby no joke
looks like a bootleg Tony Manero {john Travolta}
