VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Join the Gossett family on an exclusive tour of their rolling haven - a meticulously converted bus that perfectly encapsulates their adventurous spirit and love for tiny living! 🚌✨
🍳 The journey begins in the heart of their home: the kitchen. This culinary nook is a marvel of space optimization, boasting extensive storage that comfortably accommodates everything from an ice maker to fragile glassware. Key features like the real penny tile backsplash, white epoxy-coated butcher block counters, and a generously sized sink underscore the family's commitment to practicality and style in tight quarters.
🔥 Transitioning to the living area, the family enjoys the comfort and versatility of a 5.5-foot couch, which cleverly conceals ample storage beneath. After replacing their fireplace with an efficient diesel heater, the Gossetts ensure their home remains cozy and warm, regardless of their geographical whereabouts. Hidden within the cozy confines are a fully-equipped office and an entertainment system, blending work and relaxation seamlessly.
👧👧 Prioritizing their children's needs and comfort, the Gossip kids' bedroom is a thoughtfully designed sanctuary. Equipped with twin bunks, plenty of storage, and whimsical portholes, it's a space that encourages creativity and rest. A built-in vacuum system cleverly utilizes the available space, making cleanliness a convenient task.
💵 Financially, the Gossett family's journey began with the purchase of their bus for $15,000, with the total renovations and upgrades summing up to around $60,000. This investment has transformed their bus into a cherished and invaluable abode.
🚿 The compact bathroom is ingeniously designed to offer full functionality. It features a tiled shower, a composting toilet, and a small sink, effectively meeting the family's daily needs while conserving space.
🛏️ In their bedroom, the Gossetts balance their desire for comfort with practical necessities, opting for a queen bed to accommodate a much-needed washer and dryer. This area, controlled for temperature with a mini-split system, ensures comfortable nights regardless of the season.
🔋 On the technical front, their home is powered by a robust Victron energy system, with plans to expand their battery capacity to enhance their off-grid capabilities.
🌏 The Gossett family's journey in their bus is more than an adventure; it's a testament to resilience, growth, and the rich tapestry of experiences that life on the road weaves. They embrace each challenge as an opportunity for growth, finding joy in new experiences and connections made along the way.
Thanks for stepping into the world of the Gossetts! Their unique journey showcases the beauty of life on wheels, blending practical living with the endless thrill of discovery. #GossipFamilyAdventures #TinyHomeOnWheels #BusLifeExplorers 🌟🚍

I’ve been watching tiny living videos probably hundreds or thousands over several years and I have to say yours is the best I’ve ever seen! I find some of the tiny homes, messy, and the aesthetic makes me not feel like I could live there. But how you’ve put everything in place and you keep it organized and considered storage plus it looks like a real home and extremely functional and I just love it. Great job.❤❤❤
This is so kind of you to say thank you!!!
I agree but would like bigger windows in the living room area, feels a little alley like. Other than that the bus is awesome, love the spice drawer and huge sink with all the counter space! Beautiful!
It’s amazing how much storage and privacy there is, yet it still seems open and roomy. Incredible job, Guys!
Thank you!
@@Gossett31 You guys are very clever, well done!! Outdoor living is the best!
What a beautifully laid out home. Congratulations on doing a wonderful job with it. I think it is great that everyone has privacy and everything has a place. Goes to show that people don't need huge homes, they need to live a happier and thoughtful life. Big houses with everything that goes with it just adds stress to their lives.
Lovely bus build-out. More people need to see and experience the world beyond their comfort zones. That could change the world!
The vacuum and the girls bedroom sold me! Nice layout. Would love to see the exterior side as well.
Beautiful home on wheels! So neat, clean and organized! At first I thought the Mom was one of the daughters! she's gorgeous and a terrific Mom! Safe and happy travels to you all!!
That’s so kind of you to say!! Thanks so much
@@Gossett31 You're welcome!
We did also! When she said they had twin boys that just graduated high school, we had to go back and look at the original picture of them, because we thought she was the daughter.
Beautiful family!
@@FrankFox-yu1xf Not surprised you thought she was a daughter also! She's very young looking!
Wow absolutely beautiful! This is the best build I’ve seen. It has everything you need and doesn’t seem closed off. Love it!! ❤
I like seeing the school buses transformed into
homes on wheels and this one is the best i have
seen so far and i would call this a dream house
on wheels thanks for another awesome tiny house
and have a great week thank you.🇺🇲👋👋🇺🇲
Right, you can barely tell that it is a bus when she was in the kitchen and living areas. Very nice tiny house on wheels.
I like the window trim details. The triangular shape in the corners are very visually pleasing.
Loved this school bus. This lady owner is very neat tidy & well organised. 👍 👍👏👏👏😊
Beautiful job!
One of our favorite buses!!!!! ❤ love! You’ve inspired us to take the leap too!
Am in love with this bus home
This is such a beautiful build!!! Functional and feels like home 💕 Much love and safe travels! 😊
i love your home on wheels, it feels like home, lovely color combination, finishes and it does not feel cramped. you thought of every space to meet your needs. I also like the exterior, the color and its make up. Take care on your trips.
Thank you so much!
I’ve always wanted to do something like this …. and always keep it in the back of my mine .
Did you have to get the engine overhauled at some point ?
@@jameskramer6901we have done a ton of engine work! But with a 5.9 Cummins it’s pretty easy to swap out parts!
It's a great home & you seem to have taken your daughters into consideration which is brilliant.
Wow, what a fantastic build. Everybody has their own space. You don't see that much in bus builds, so a massive well done. What a beautiful home you have.
Such a beautiful bus! Very well planned and so comfortable looking!
Great job. Love how organized it is, especially the kitchen.
love how you have everything needed yet organised nice layout folks . great work.
I so want that...❤ space for art.
Wow the craftsmanship in this build is top notch!!!
Incredibly creative people! Great craftsmanship! 💯👍🙏🔥
One of the best layouts I have seen - and very tidy and organized!
Beautiful home on wheels, very warm and cozy! This home definitely knocked somebody off my top 10. Best of luck down the road! Stay safe! 🥰🥰🥰
Love the port holes ! And everything else as well !
The homemade mobile home is very beautiful and convenient
Love this bus build. Well thought out. Very nice.
I love that you so obviously love to be with each other and that you've created such a beautiful home on wheels.
❤ so nice home
Really cool build👌
A very well designed space! I just wonder where their grown boys stay if they visit?
It gets a little crowded, but we have the couch which pulls out. And we make a pallet on the floor. It’s not perfect but works for a couple of days!
Gorgeous bus
This is so pretty, practical, clean, comfortable & well laid out! Great job!
I think there must be solar on the roof, but it isn't shown in the video.
love the school bus, very orginised..the kitchen color, the room for the kids.. luv
This is one beautiful rig, that kitchen is beautiful, tons of storage. The girls bedroom is spacious. My first time seeing a vacuum like this in a rig, nice touch. I like the color choices inside /out.
Happy travels !
Beutiful bus tiny house.. greetings from me. from malaysia kuala lumpur watching the video you shared.. i like your activities.. i pray that you continue to be successful in all your affairs❤

Your kitchen is gorgeous 😍!
The storage is fabulous 👍.
Cool idea for the vacuum 😊
Beautiful build.

JO JO IN VT 💞
Very nice and clean
Always blows me away when people open up a drawer and there’s enough spices to open a store! I would want a window in my kitchen. Very nice setup but claustrophobic without a window!
There’s actually 4 windows in there 😂. One of them in a skylight!
Wow your bus is a complete beautiful home ❤
Gorgeous Home👏👏👏👏 ENJOY 🎉
Absolutely gorgeous home on wheels. 💖
Well done! This home is wonderful! Thanks for the tour! 💕💕
Thanks so much for watching, and a huge thanks to the Gossett family for taking the time to show us their home! :)
Awesome all the best 🙏🏽 🌞 👍🏾 👌🏾
Absolutely love your bus ❤
That's awesome tiny house tour good though 👍
What a nice set up.
Great Build ...❤❤❤❤
Very nice home! I really like it, enjoy!
Awesome ❤
This is really nice awesome job.😊
Beautiful home.
Nice family en wel designed bus. But l think the wife is boss. Either designed the bus or explained all the details. Poor husband only said a few words 😂😂😂. Happy new tours for you
Being on camera isn’t really his thing- and yes. I did design the bus 🚌
Great bus! I decided on a shorty (I'm older with no family) because a very heavy bus would cost too much in gasoline to make it worthwhile for me.
If she could find room somewhere, there are laundry spinners meant for handwashing. I had a manual countertop washer in my last apartment that did not have a spin dry cycle and the spinner extracted water so quickly--in fewer than 5 minutes--that there would be some dry spots on the clothes. Air drying was quicker. I used it just yesterday because while we have a full-sized washer and dryer, our washer suddenly stopped going through the fast part of the spin cycle. I had washed a sweatshirt and it was saturated with water like an overfull sponge. I ran it in my spinner for maybe 2 minutes and it was more dry than if the washer had been working normally. I got my spinner from a company called The Laundry Alternative. Even without a washer and dryer, one of those spinner things is a game changer.
Very nice
Love it. Beautiful
Very nice. Where are the twin boys?
They are adults now! Living their best lives ❤
Just the wife and I and we have two refrigerators. Very impressive. Consider a shower head with a on off switch. I use less than two gallons
lovely cuts cool style 🩵🔮🩵🔮🩵🔮🩵🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🩵🩵🩵🩵
I'm doing a build right now and having been thinking about deep, dark exterior colours like they have on their bus. But I know that dark colours have way higher heat absorption. How has cooling worked out given that you painted the bus dark blue on the outside?
To be honest, yes it does absorb heat, however we have great insulation which helps along with the fact that all the bus windows are gone helps a ton. The windows we have found are really where so much of the heat comes into the bus. We also try and stay around 70-80 degree weather. This week it was 88 and it was extremely comfortable in the bus.
@@Gossett31That's great to hear! I'm following a similar plan to stay in 70-80 deg weather.
If you could share the details on your mini-split and diesel heater (kw, btu) that would be super helpful. You mentioned the diesel heater might have been overpowered, was that true of the mini split cooling as well? Do you ever use the mini split for heat, or just rely on the diesel heater?
It's rare to find someone with such a similar build in terms of total interior size, colour, and following the same heating/cooling solution. Thanks so much for taking the time to make a video about it :)
We use the mini split for heat as well- but the diesel heater is much more efficient because it doesn’t take away from our battery bank. The mini split is used every day for air in the summer! I think it’s beneficial to have both but definitely need to make sure your solar and battery can handle using the mini split all the time. I’d really like to get another mini split for the front of the bus as well.
@@Gossett31 Yeah I've been considering having 2 cooling units for better distribution. I'd be happy to share my calculations with you when I get to that stage :)
Do you know how big your mini split and diesel heater are?
❤👏
Do you have a car to drive to grocery stores etc. or do you have to drive the bus
We do! Our trusted Honda 🚐
I really like the set up and she's really clean about her home she lives in but is there an exit to get out just in case there's a fire at night time block them rooms you have no way out that will worry me I'll definitely would have a I'll definitely would have a back door to it
The back window is an emergency exit! Still is in working condition! We have several smoke detectors and have emergency plans in place if needed!
Lady, there's nothing "small" about your house! Its huge & must be extremely heavy?
( Whats the fuel efficiency?)
That said, its gorgeous! 💚
All you need now is a 50,000 gallon fuel reserve so if the zombie apocalypse happens youll have the reserves you need to keep moving & circle back? Safe travels.
We get between 8-12 mpg!
How do the batteries get charged?
All through their solar setup on the roof :)
What about your twin sons? Do you see them often or are they on with their own lives?
Hi! We make sure to see our twins. We fly them to us several times a year, and always spend the holidays with them, but to be honest they are 20 with their own lives and girlfriends and jobs. We raised them to be independent and they’re incredibly successful at such a young age.
where are your sons stayinng?
I’m assuming they’re in college
You really need to have a emergency exit in the back of your bus. Other than that I love this build.
There is one!! Emergency window still works!
Awww good!@@Gossett31
When she said glaas it never breaks she will Jinx it because if you say something like that it might break soon
👀 we certainly hope not! 🫣
What if your boys need a place to fall back on?
They are fully capable 21 year old adults with jobs and their own housing. 😊
@@Gossett31we’d love to build something like this to travel around in..where do you recommend one starts?
@@crystalslattery1712with a good reliable bus!!! make sure to find one that is in good running condition and easy to maintain.
@@crystalslattery1712with a mechanically sound bus!
So where are the twin boys now. That was for random for them to mention twin boys briefly and that was it. I’m just saying, where do they go when school is out? I just found that odd.
Hi there! Our boys actually have housing year round. They are fully grown adults now 😊
Thanks for asking!
@@Gossett31I didn’t mean it in a negative way and I apologize if It offended you. You guys seem like a close knit family? That’s why I commented about your twin boys. Thanks for the reply. Beautiful home.
@@emmafitzpatrick7213we are super close! But our babies aren’t babies anymore and have their own adventures ❤
The only thing I don’t agree with is when you’re living in a van or a bus with multiple kids, like they have little to no privacy at all, not even curtains on their beds
Agree and the parents always have a big bed and a proper room as well.
Only this generation seems to be so concerned that everyone has their own space....totally isn't going to impact a child growing up. Think about our older generation being raised in small homes where children shared personal spaces with all siblings, even sleeping three in a bed. Children grow from life experiences and family togetherness...These lucky children have everything they need! ❤❤
We feel as though our girls have plenty of space but understand why that might be hard for people to understand. They each have their own drawers, school desk, their own window and two sliding doors that close off the whole room to make sure to give them privacy.
@@Gossett31but they don’t have privacy from one another, that’s what the original commenter is trying to say.
that was like half of a tour where is the rest of the tour? this is a first for this channel very disappointing!
What more did you need to see?
You're easily disappointed.
👍👍❤🙏 so cool👍
