@lisamoran6742 Lisalisa talked about the music written by Paul Simon 60 years ago. As far as I know, he wrote The Sound of Silence, and he did it alone...
I remember watching this. Prior to this, I never heard of them. When I heard them perform this, I didn't move until they were done. This performance grabbed me and it won my full attention. I wanted to know more about them afterwards.
This song, with these musicians, is the physical embodiment of a time and place that holds a multitude of memories for millions of people that lived through them. Only those that lived through those times understand and can feel emotional in it’s entirety of that era. It’s just not about the song, but the memory of where you were, what you were doing, who you were with, How old you were, even what you were wearing. It’s the snapshot of a moment in time which is what music is about. And these two people have the ability to take us there every single time.
I wish and I pray, these two would just put aside all the childish crap that drove them apart, and focus on the good in each other, the things that brought them together in the first place.
This is just terrific. I have never heard them sing it better. The Sounds of Silence has been my favorite song since it was first recorded in the early 1960s. I used to sing it for my children as a bedtime lullaby along with Scarborough Fair and many more of Paul and Art's songs. I'm proud to say that I turned my 30-year-old daughter into a Simon and Garfunkel fan, This is my favorite ] song and I will always love it.
just beautiful . so many artists do versions of this son and do a great job , but you cant beat the original arragement for feeling and harmony , like nights in white satin , there can only ever be 1 version and this is it
Funny Two Men Two Voices One Guitar Just Schooled an entire venue filled with Autotune Pop Stars Not by Shouting Not by Ego & Flashy Moves But Softly Quietly with Honest Talent.
I was there for this performance, won a radio contest to go the Grammys and I will always remember seeing this I think I was around 21 at the time and it blew me away
Educated people know the profound influence Paul Art have contritbuted to music through music for all of your to share. Yet you may be from another generation and do not understand the transparency of the song to communicate to you the sounds of silence.
Just watched an interview of Garfunkle by Ken Paulson where "Artie" said that when he and Paul came back together after so many years of singing this song as a solo it was a bit difficult meshing their voices as they once did. I think they did a pretty good job! ruclips.net/video/-mKCUKwvgy0/видео.html
Paul’s music he wrote 60 years ago is still relevant today. I look forward to his new album in early 2023 😊.
This song perfectly describes the rise of social media apps.
This is Simon AND Garfunkel- not just Paul’s !

Two voices and a guitar. That’s all it takes to change the world
I can never get enough of Artie singing. Such a handsome man.

Paul Simon is the greatest!
Art Garfunkel’s voice is simply haunting. Soul stirring !
Still the absolute BEST version of this song....
❤

The genius song writer guitarist and the genius singer arranger meet harmony. Perfection!!🥰
I get goosebumps in one of the best folk rock songs of all time
Garfunkel's voice, Simon's writing skills!!! Epic combo
This makes me cry (when I think about what's happened to contemporary music in 2022).
the grammys shouldve just ended here
Oh man I got cold chills watching that unreal performance! Real men real music what else can u say!

Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you

Simon. and Garfunkel forever
It’s amazing how dynamic a simple chord arrangement can be when played my the right person. The words are so intense.

So true. Someone understands good music!!
And yet they cannot stand each other's presence.
@@thesqaanalyst Listen to "The boxer" by them two. Perfectly sums their relationship.
Perfectly described.
My favourite singing duo of all time😊
Die einzigartigen Stimmen sind nicht zu überbieten! Ein Hörgenuss in dieser schlechten Zeit.
The shear genius of Artie's high harmony over Paul's melody using only an acoustic guitar, I just don't have the words!
Geez you dont know which is which. Art in this song is the Melody, while Paul is harmonizing.
@@kinz581e5 , Oh, my bad, so it's Art's "high melody" over Paul's "harmony". Wow, I've been bested by a musical genius, LMFAO.
PIĘKNA PIOSENKA PIĘKNIE ŚPIEWANA SUPER DUET GRATULUJĘ 👍👍💙💖😂❤🎸🎸🎸🎸🇮🇩💓💞
TOP TOP SIMON & THE GARFUNKEL MUITO TOP
Beautiful song that has lasted time...two good friends should last also!
This song tops the list Captures who we r & our existence
Sound of silence! Love the words! Classic ♥️
Yes, his, voice is, like a balsam for the soul
I was there for this performance, won a radio contest to go the Grammys and I will always remember seeing this I think I was around 21 at the time and it blew me away
I am loving so much this stripped-down version; just one guitar with no drums, no bass, no others.
Two Icon singers
Perfect partners👏❤️Cool Voice👏
Saudades
It was your sound-forever and ever...

Os dois juntos têm as voz maravilhosa. Linda. São lindos. Pena que não os conheci pessoalmente.
Perfecto
I didn't know that they performed at the 2003 Grammy Award......as guests' performers?
@@agnescruz6042 They were there to receive an award for lifetime achievement.
They showed to people what music is
One word, brill!!!!
Love you Artie.
We need these guys again. So much garbage these days. I'm at least happy rock and roll is back though
The same is true for Japan. So much garbage singers now.
Saner times... ❤
Maravilhoso, sem palavras !!!
They are a freshly fallen silent shout of snow.
They show to people what music is ..
Now this is good.

Um é metade sem o outro. Estão cantando sem se olharem. Uma bela história.
I'd like to think one of them said to the other...Damn, that was good!

Theres this music or Simon Cowell’s version of music, take your pick
Wow I never knew they did this
what you meant to put was "ovation" not "audition"
Just watched some of Arties films, no wonder Paul was peed off!!!
